Breaking news this morning as we’re just getting word a shooting has taken place at a dorm room in Central Michigan University. At least two individuals have been shot. The suspect is reportedly still at large.
Students are urged to take shelter at this time.

School officials say police are responding to a report of shots fired at a residence hall at Central Michigan University.
The university said Friday morning that the report concerns Campbell Hall on its campus in Mount Pleasant. The university says the suspect is still at large, and police are urging students to take shelter.
The city says the male suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
The school released the information on its Facebook page around 9:30 a.m. An automated phone message from the school also was sent to students Friday morning.

The city has issued a description of the shooter. By the looks of it, this was no accident:
UPDATE 10:23 a.m.: The suspect is a 19-year-old black male who is approx. 5 foot 9 inches tall. He is wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie. He may have taken off the blue hoodie. He is considered armed & dangerous. If you see the suspect, do not approach him. Call 911.

This shooting comes just two weeks after the deadly massacre in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 dead. In recent weeks, the U.S. has undergone a huge debate on gun control and the safety of educational facilities like public schools.
