As comedian Dave Chappelle continues to be at the center of controversy for his Netflix special “The Closer,” Caitlyn Jenner has thrown her full support behind him.
Much of the controversy has surrounded several bits in Chappelle’s act that the left has deemed “transphobic.” Jenner, of course, is perhaps the most famous transgender person in America.
The news cycle has gone on for weeks now – and Jenner has jumped into the fray.

Caitlyn Backs Dave
“Dave Chappelle is 100% right,” Jenner tweeted.
“This isn’t about the LGBTQ movement,” she continued. “It’s about woke cancel culture run amok, trying to silence free speech.”
“We must never yield or bow to those who wish to stop us from speaking our minds,” Jenner added.

Chappelle’s jokes in the Netflix special led to a coordinated effort to ‘cancel’ Chappelle.
Whether they knew it or not, the activists were taking on the wrong man. Chappelle, known for his hard-hitting, racially-charged, no-holds-barred acts, hasn’t backed down like they imagined he might.
As has become common, employees at Netflix tried to have Chappelle’s special removed from the streaming service. They even staged a walkout in protest.
Suprisingly, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has defended Chappelle and his “creative freedom.”
Chappelle recently doubled down on his stance in a video he shared on Instagram, blaming the controversy on “corporate interests.”
“Even though the media frames it that it’s me versus that community, this is not what it is,” Chapelle said. “Do not blame the LGBTQ community for any of this sh**. This has nothing to do with them.”
“It’s about corporate interests and what I can say and what I cannot say,” Chappelle continued, adding that everyone he knows from the LGBTQ community “has been loving and supporting.”
You’d never know it from all the left-wing media outlets condemning the comedian.
Chappelle said he would speak to members of the transgender community, but had some conditions.
“To the transgender community, I am more than willing to give you an audience, but you will not summon me. I am not bending to anybody’s demands,” Chappelle insisted.
“And if you want to meet with me, I’d be more than willing to, but I have some conditions,” he added. “First of all, you cannot come if you have not watched my special from beginning to end. You must come to a place of my choosing at a time of my choosing.”

Jenner Is A Republican Who Has Expressed Admiration For Donald Trump
Jenner is a Republican – who even recently ran for California governor – and has been criticized by the left for saying positive things about former President Donald Trump.
When “The View’s” co-host Joy Behar tried to get Jenner to say who she thought won the 2020 president election, she replied, “I think Donald Trump did do some good things.”

“What I liked about Donald Trump is that he was a disrupter,” she added.
Jenner’s stance on Chappelle probably won’t go over well with the left.
One typical response to her tweet:
Literally, who asked you? You don’t speak for me or ANY other trans folx I know. You’re wrong in trying to tell us it’s not about our community. He specifically said it was. Caitlyn, you need to soul search.
