Both Maxine Waters And Kamala Harris Want To Spend $13.2 Billion To Build 400K Affordable Housing Units

As long as New York and California promote open borders and sanctuary cities/states, why should the federal government invest anything there?

So Maxine Waters and Kamala Harris have found the secret to ending homelessness. That’s great news. Perhaps they should share their plan with legislators in their home state, where the number of homeless has skyrocketed in the past decade.

If California spent LESS time raising taxes for ridiculous causes and issues and focused on building a state that is “business-friendly”, they wouldn’t be losing thousands of businesses and tens of thousands of Californians to states like Texas and Florida.

California might be beyond help. The state appears hell-bent on experiencing what happened to Greece and other countries, states and communities.
Keep pretending the credit card will keep working.

The “Ending Homelessness Act,” which was co-sponsored by Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) and Patty Murray (D-Wash.), would give an additional $13.27 billion over five years to create an estimated 400,000 affordable housing units.

The funds would go to supportive housing, including homeless shelters and transitional housing, as well as housing vouchers for low-income families and local outreach services to homeless residents.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) introduced a similar bill in the House in March, which passed in committee and is expected to go to the House floor.

“Too many people don’t have a safe place to call home. We must act quickly to tackle our country’s homelessness crisis head on,” Harris said in a news release. “The women and men who woke up this morning on a bench or under an overpass cannot afford to wait.” [HuffPost]

These two thieves want 13.27 billion over five years to create an estimated 400,000 housing units? If you look at the bulk of the homeless there’s a deeper issue. Mental health, yes these people need a place to stay but also need treatment. Why don’t they build treatment facilities that can house the homeless till they can either function in society or move them into a more permanent health care facility?

The city of San Francisco is spending over $100K per head to support its homeless, and the number of homeless continues to grow. However, ironically, the persons in charge of many of the programs set up by this money are becoming rich and creating a secure job for themselves. The funny thing is that this was created by the same party that the windbreaker, Kamala, is part of.

We’ve seen this before, spend millions and still, people are homeless. Who would pay all their bills if they have a home? They should find some old buildings and put up more shelters if anything. Most of the money will NEVER reach these homeless people. What is a housing voucher? Really?
