Biden Takes A Beating In New Poll: 38% Approval, Majority Say Administration Not Competent

President Biden's approval rating took yet another beating in a new Quinnipiac poll, plunging to just 38 percent.

President Biden’s approval rating took yet another beating in a new Quinnipiac poll, plunging to just 38 percent.

The poll, released Wednesday, shows the President achieving his lowest rating ever with that polling firm, with a clear majority saying the administration is simply not competent.

Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy indicates Biden is getting negative ratings on nearly every significant topic.

“Battered on trust, doubted on leadership, and challenged on overall competency, President Biden is being hammered on all sides as his approval rating continues its downward slide to a number not seen since the tough scrutiny of the Trump administration,” Malloy said.

‘Tough scrutiny’ is a pretty nifty way to rebrand ‘media malpractice,’ but I digress.

55 percent of Americans feel the administration is essentially incompetent compared to just 42 percent who believe they are capable of running the government.

Biden Approval Rating Plunges In Latest Poll

President Biden’s approval rating takes an absolute beating across the board in the latest Quinnipiac poll.

On the topic of Afghanistan, just 28 percent believe the withdrawal of all troops was the right call.

The President had negative approval for his handling of the military, taxes, foreign policy, immigration, and the Mexican border, but also struggled in two key areas that were trending upward as he entered office.

55 percent of Americans disapprove of the way he is handling the economy (compared to 39 percent who approve) while a solid 50 percent view his handling of COVID negatively.

Trending Badly

Coping with bad news for President Biden in the latest poll seems to be a daily occurrence these days.

According to the Rasmussen Reports, 51 percent of voters have a more favorable view of former President Trump’s immigration policies, compared to just 32 percent who think Biden’s chaotic border scene is better.

The one topic in which he was predicted to excel because of his nice-guy policies, and Americans are pining for the days of ‘orange man bad’ because things are so out of control.

Aside from trailing Trump in policy measures regarding the border, a new Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey shows the former President is flat-out more popular than Biden.

In another ominous sign for Democrats heading into the 2022 midterm elections, a new Gallup poll indicates Americans believe the GOP is better for their prosperity and security.

“Americans by significant margins now view the Republican Party as better than the Democratic Party at protecting the nation from international threats (54% to 39%, respectively) and at ensuring the nation remains prosperous (50% to 41%),” Gallup writes.

These are numbers in those areas not seen since the tail end of the Obama administration (2015 and 2104), just before Trump shocked the world.

Biden’s numbers are so bad that Democrat Terry McAuliffe, locked in a tight battle in his bid to be elected governor of Virginia, is starting to sound panicked about the effect he’ll have on his election.

“We got to get Democrats out to vote,” McAuliffe said earlier this week.

“We are facing a lot of headwinds from Washington, as you know,” he conceded. “The president is unpopular today, unfortunately here in Virginia, so we have got to plow through.”

Unfortunately, America itself has to ‘plow through’ the incompetence of the Biden administration as well.

The question is, will the nation make it long enough to at least reach the midterms before the President plunges us even further into darkness and chaos?
