
President Biden joined a chorus of liberals distraught over the Supreme Court allowing a Texas law banning abortions after six weeks to go into effect overnight.
The President claimed the new law is “extreme” and “blatantly violates the constitutional right established under Roe v. Wade” while suggesting it will “significantly” impair health care access for women.
Biden added the racial and class angle, a prerequisite for Democrats, claiming it will disproportionately affect “communities of color and individuals with low incomes.”
The law limits nearly all abortions after a heartbeat is detected.
It makes exceptions for medical emergencies, not based on race or income.

Texas Abortion Law Angers Liberals
Leftists on social media responded to news of the Supreme Court allowing the Texas abortion law to go into effect with the decorum and factual debate you might expect.
Representative Cori Bush (D-MO) was all in on Biden’s race card effort, suggesting wealthy white people would still be able to get access to abortions.
But, she added a twist. The LGBT community, she believes, will be disproportionately affected by the inability to get abortions.
“I’m thinking about the Black, brown, low-income, queer, and young folks in Texas. The folks this abortion health care ban will disproportionately harm,” Bush tweeted.
“Wealthy white folks will have the means to access abortion care. Our communities won’t.”

Former First Lady Hillary Clinton accused the Supreme Court of operating “under the cover of darkness” in allowing the Texas abortion law to take effect, saying it is “unconstitutional” and violates “human rights.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom also accused the Supreme Court of acting “in the dead of night” and said his state would continue to lead the nation in allowing abortions.

In reality, the Supreme Court only refused to hear pleas to reject the legislation, signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott back in May.
Mary Trump tweeted that the Supreme Court’s actions prove we need to expand the number of justices because they’re making America “a fascist theocratic apartheid state.”

Conservatives Celebrate
Conservatives on social media were just as vociferous with their praise for the Supreme Court in allowing the Texas abortion law to go into effect.
Former senior legal adviser to President Trump, Jenna Ellis, celebrated purported news that “Planned Parenthood clinics have stopped scheduling abortion visits after six weeks of pregnancy.”

Just last month, Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch (R) filed a 60-page brief urging the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade arguing the case is “hopelessly unworkable.”

The state was appealing lower court rulings that struck down a law that banned virtually all abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. Earlier in July, an Obama-appointed federal judge blocked a similar law in Arkansas.

Trump, upon appointing Amy Coney Barrett to the court, has since hinted her addition could lead to a review of Roe v. Wade, saying it would be “certainly possible.”
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) famously threatened the Supreme Court – specifically Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch – at a pro-abortion rally held in close proximity to the court itself.
