Biden: Illegals Sometimes Become American Before Actual Americans

Presidential hopeful Joe Biden believes some illegal immigrant ‘Dreamers’ become American before actual citizens or legal immigrants.

The former vice president made this declaration at a campaign stop in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Thursday.

“We have to find a pathway for Dreamers,” said Biden. “These kids who come, and they end up doing well. They become American before a lot of Americans become Americans.”

“No, I’m serious, they get in school, they do well, they contribute to the community, they contribute to the country,” he continued.

It’s difficult and tedious to analyze such a ragingly idiotic statement, but here we go: American kids and children of legal immigrants go to school as well, many do a wonderful job – at least at the same rate, if not more so than illegals – and we’d wager many of them contribute to their community.

So, how exactly are ‘Dreamers’ American first?

Biden has made amnesty for over 10 million DACA recipients a central part of his 2020 campaign.

“We should be focused on having a comprehensive immigration plan that provides a pathway to citizenship for people who are here undocumented,” he said at a press conference in Des Moines, Iowa earlier this month.

“We should be in fact legalizing DREAMers right now,” Biden demanded. “There are over 4 million families, over 10 million people. We should be uniting families, not separating families.”

Biden is usually held up as an example of a more mainstream Democrat candidate opposing Trump on illegal immigration. The reality, however, is that these comments are right on par with one of the more radical fringe members of the party, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Ocasio-Cortez, responding to President Trump’s speech on border security in January, claimed illegals are more American than he or any of his supporters are.

“The women and children on the border seeking refuge and opportunity in the U.S. with nothing but the shirt on their backs are acting more American than any person who seeks to keep them out ever will be,” she told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.

Biden seemingly agrees.

The former vice president previously praised Barack Obama as “the guy who came up with the idea for the first time ever of dealing with the Dreamers.”

It isn’t simply the Dreamers that Biden wants to deal with by granting amnesty. He wants to shut down border detention centers altogether.

“Close them down!” he said when asked how he’d operate centers keeping tabs on those crossing into the country illegally. “By the way, we don’t need them!”
