Psaki: ‘It Depends On If You’re Vaccinated Or Not’
The New York Times reported, “Mr. Biden, who was briefed by his team of coronavirus advisers.. that will address about six areas where his administration can encourage — or, at this point, push — more eligible Americans to receive vaccines, according to the White House. Officials offered few specifics, stressing that the plan was still coming together, but its underlying driver is the conviction that the only way to return to some sense of normalcy in the country is to get as many people vaccinated as possible.”
Details of the plan leaked to the media include mask mandates, increasing testing, and booster shots for those who have already been vaccinated.
During the 2020 campaign, Biden promised to “shut down” the virus rather than the country, but since then, media focus has centered on the Delta variant “surge.”
Case in point: NBC News ran this headline yesterday in anticipation of Biden’s new plan: “Biden resets after Delta frustrates his hope to declare Covid independence”.
Politico declared, “How the Delta variant bottlenecked Biden’s presidency”.
I’m not going to shut down the country.
I’m not going to shut down the economy.
I’m going to shut down the virus.

Former Obama Press Secretary Bob Gibbs told Politico, “Fundamentally, for our public health, for our economic health and for the president’s political health, getting Covid right is the single most important issue that they face in the immediate term.”

Yesterday, when asked if Biden’s plan would affect our daily lives, Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki said, “It depends on if you’re vaccinated or not.”
Tomorrow, Biden will announce a six-pronged plan to get COVID under control.

New Biden COVID-19 Proclamation Looming
As for booster shots, “About 1.3 million fully vaccinated people have received a third shot after federal officials approved them for people with compromised immune systems,” the Times noted.
The NYT continued, “Mr. Biden has publicly supported the idea of a broadening the availability of third shots as boosters for much more of the population, but health experts have advised the White House to hold off promoting that for now.”
