President Joe Biden insists Americans aren’t interested in House Republican investigations into his family members but recent polling suggests he is wrong.

Biden made the assertion in an interview with PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff.

Woodruff noted the long-publicized intent of GOP lawmakers to look into business dealings involving Biden’s son Hunter, and his brother Jim asking, “How do you plan to deal with that?”

“The public’s not going to pay attention to that,” the President claimed. “They want these guys to do something.”

“If the only thing they can do is make up things about my family, it’s not going to go very far.”

Biden – Americans Don’t Want to See Investigations into My Family

It’s good to see Biden has at least moved on from his ‘Russian disinformation’ lie to simply surrender and wildly accuse Republicans of making things up.

The validity of either claim is roughly the same, which is to say there is none.

People want to know if Hunter Biden and James Biden were influence-peddling off the President’s name and how exactly he may have been involved.

The Political Insider reported last month on an email that had been pulled from the infamous ‘laptop from hell’ naming Joe Biden in a discussion of an ‘arranged’ call between him and his son Hunter regarding a multi-million dollar gas deal with China.

The public might want to know about that.

Along with the famed ‘10% for the big guy’ email reported on years ago.

An email obtained by Fox News in 2020 appeared to outline a payout for Biden in a joint venture with CEFC China Energy.

It included a proposed equity split of “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?”

Tony Bobulinski, a former business associate of Hunter, insists the ‘big guy’ is a reference to Joe Biden, though that has not been confirmed elsewhere.

A report surfaced in October that Hunter received over $100 million in investment backing from Elena Baturina, a billionaire Russian oligarch and wife of the former mayor of Moscow.

President Biden has long insisted he has no knowledge of his son’s business dealings.

Still, all of these things certainly call for an investigation.

The Public Definitely Wants to Know

While it remains irrelevant what the public interest is in such an investigation – corruption needs investigating whether or not the people are captivated – the basis for Biden’s argument is null and void.

The public most definitely wants Republicans to investigate Hunter, Joe, and the family.

A November poll showed that even before the GOP took control of the House of Representatives, a majority of likely voters (62%) agreed with them launching investigations into Hunter’s overseas business dealings.

A December poll saw that number jump to 72% – including a majority of Republicans (88%), independents (74%), and Democrats (54%).

Even an NBC News poll earlier this month indicates an investigation into Hunter is the “most important for House Republicans to pursue.”

Oh, they’ll most definitely be paying attention, Mr. President. About the only group of people in the country who don’t want to see a probe into the Biden family all have the last name ‘Biden.’
