After being called out by President Trump at last week’s debate, Joe Biden admitted at an NBC town hall that he no longer has support from law enforcement.
The difficult concession occurred when the mother of a police officer and wife of a retired police officer questioned him about “defunding the police.”
She said the idea was “troubling” and was curious how a Biden administration would reform the police while still ensuring their safety.
Biden side-stepped the question, instead noting he wasn’t qualified to be in law enforcement, among other fields.
He proceeded to suggest he has had support from the blue with one notable exception.
“I have had overwhelming support from police my whole career up until this year,” he replied.

Trump: Biden Has No Support From Law Enforcement
The admission comes just one week after Biden denied he had lost support from law enforcement during the presidential debate.
“He doesn’t have any law support. He has no law enforcement,” Trump asserted.
Biden replied, “That’s not true.”
Trump, undeterred, kept on the topic.
“Oh, really, who do you have? Name one group that supports you. Name one group that came out and supported you,” the President prodded. “Go ahead. Think. We have time.”
“We don’t have time to do anything,” Biden replied.
“No, no think right now. Name one law enforcement group that came out in support of you,” Trump continued before debate moderator Chris Wallace stepped in.

Biden: Police Officers Need Psychiatrists When Responding to 911 Calls
Perhaps it is comments like the following that have caused law enforcement to support Trump over Biden.
At the same town hall, the former vice president suggested police officers responding to 911 calls should bring psychiatrists with them to help them deal with dangerous individuals.
“When your husband goes on a call, that is in fact a 911 call,” he said to the woman, “it’s better if he or she has with them a ‘psychologist or psychiatrist’ with them, someone who knows how to deal with someone who is not all there.”

Biden is not only seeing law enforcement groups endorsing President Trump, but he’s seeing some who were favorable to Barack Obama switch sides as well.
The National Organization for Police Organizations (NAPO) endorsed the Obama-Biden campaign in both 2008 and 2012, but have now endorsed Trump in 2020.
The largest NYPD police union comprising roughly 24,000 cops, the NYC Police Benevolent Association (PBA), formally endorsed the President for reelection in August.

The Fraternal Order of Police, the nation’s largest police union, also endorsed President Trump.

Chicago’s Fraternal Order of Police, the Colorado State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, and the National Latino Peace Officers Association Advocacy (NLPOA-Advocacy) have all endorsed President Trump.
