At a time when liberals see treason around every corner, impeachment under every rock, and Russians hiding in every tree, it’s important for us all to kick back and have a good laugh once in a while.
With that in mind, we thought it’d be nice to share a joke that we recently stumbled upon. A joke that may very well be one of the greatest military jokes ever told.
It’s simply that relatable.
In fact, it’s so relatable that it could be applied to just about every job known to man in which lower-ranking workers view their superiors as they move up the chain as doing less and less work.
Which is just about everywhere.
Still, this one nails it as a military joke …
The Greatest Military Joke Ever Told
A U.S. Marine Colonel was about to start the morning briefing to his staff.
While waiting for the coffee machine to finish brewing, the Colonel decided to pose a question to all assembled.
He explained that his wife had been a bit frisky the night before and he failed to get his usual amount of sound sleep.
He posed the question of just how much of sex was considered “work” and how much of it was “fun?”
A Major chimed in with 75%-25% in favor of work.
A Captain said it was 50%-50%.
A Lieutenant responded with 25%-75% in favor of fun, depending upon his state of inebriation at the time.
There being no consensus, the Colonel turned to the Private First Class who was in charge of making the coffee and asked for his opinion.
Without any hesitation, the young Private First Class responded, “Sir, it has to be 100% fun.”
The colonel was surprised and as you might guess, asked “Why?”
“Well, sir, if there was any work involved, the officers would have me doing it for them.”
The room fell silent.
Come on, you have to admit that’s pretty funny!
You know what’s no laughing matter regarding the military, however?
President Trump’s support for them and the love they seem to reciprocate. (RELATED: Trump Floats Possibility of Having a Military Parade in DC on the 4th of July).
“Our veterans are a national treasure, and I thank them all for their service, sacrifice, and patriotism,” the President said at this past year’s Veterans Day speech. “To each of you with me today, you are the heroes who fulfill your duty to our nation. And each of you, under the most difficult conditions, did what you had to do, and you did it well.”
When several veterans had a chance to respond to him, one, in particular, had a tough time holding back his emotions.
“Mr. President, from my heart, thank you for your support of the military, and it’s an honor to be here as one of seven Vietnam veterans representing the 58,000 heroes that never made it home,” he said choking up a bit. “Thank you so much.”

What a terrific moment!
“I just want to say what an honor and privilege it is to be with our President,” another veteran said. “I still admire what you’re doing for our country. Thank you for your dedication to our military, our country, and we’re all behind you in making America great again.”
Now that’s no joke!
