Former President Obama is a big fan of oratory, but he often doesn’t need to say what he thinks for us to know how he really feels.
Yesterday, elected Democrats and Republicans gathered in the Capitol Dome to pay respects to the late Billy Graham, an evangelical pastor who had a relationship with every American president since Harry Truman. Attendees included Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

On Tuesday, former President Bill Clinton paid respects to the late pastor at the Billy Graham Library:

Graham was a great man who saw that every person, especially Americans, was in need of God, and he was more than willing to lead them to the heavenly kingdom should they desire it.
Barack Obama, on the other hand, was too busy promoting his pet project in extreme narcissism – his personal presidential library – to bother to pay any respect to Graham personally.
The Hill reports:
Former President Obama made a surprise visit to the South Side of Chicago on Tuesday for a community meeting with neighborhood residents about the Obama Foundation’s proposed plans to build the Obama Presidential Library in the area.
Obama did, however, tweet out his condolences, for which he was roundly criticized for by his own fans:
Billy Graham was a humble servant who prayed for so many – and who, with wisdom and grace, gave hope and guidance to generations of Americans.

Here’s just a sample of the vitriolic hatred Obama’s fans reserved for Graham:
Love you, President Obama, but this have this absolutely wrong. Billy Graham was a hateful, misguided man. He did much to instill fear in the hearts of my fellow countrymen, and he will not be remembered fondly.

I guess Obama didn’t see it as beneficial to pay tribute to the late Graham in person because his core supporters despise a good Christian man.
How very fitting.
