AOC Whines to Jen Psaki That Fox News and Tucker Carlson Should be Regulated for ‘Inciting Violence’

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) appeared with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki to call for federal government regulation of Tucker Carlson and Fox News for allegedly ‘inciting violence’ on January 6th, 2021.

The comments came during an interview in which the former White House press secretary asked the avowed socialist for comment on Fox News’ recent settlement in the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit.

“Very often, I believe that we leave it to the courts to solve issues that politics is really supposed to solve, that legislating is supposed to solve,” she told Psaki.

Legislating censorship. A sitting member of Congress wants to legislate a ban on free speech.

AOC suggested political commentary leading up to what happened on January 6th is “not just a freedom of speech (issue) but also accountability for incitement of violence.”

“I believe that when it comes to broadcast television, like FOX News, these are subject to federal law and regulation in terms of what’s allowed on air and what isn’t,” the New York congresswoman added.

“And when you look at what Tucker Carlson and some of these other folks on Fox do, it is very, very clearly incitement of violence. Very clearly.”

AOC Wants Fox News and Tucker Carlson Regulated

Of course, if political commentary can lead to ‘incitement of violence,’ then every left-wing outlet would fall under AOC’s calls to regulate.

We all saw how they encouraged violence during the race riots of 2020. Not to mention how they tried to spur on violence against conservative Supreme Court justices during the Roe v. Wade debate.

But they also incited extremist rage following Donald Trump’s election in 2016 where they cast doubt on the legitimacy of his presidency, fueling violence on his inauguration day.

AOC is so exclusively obsessed with Fox News and Tucker Carlson that it almost seems like she wants to date them.

We’re not sure what part of the above clip is more shocking – AOC calling for the regulation of the only mainstream media source that at least occasionally contradicts the leftist agenda, or a former White House official in Psaki nodding mindlessly in agreement.

The whole thing seems like something you’d hear from an actual fascist and their enabler.

Overblown Violence

There is nothing liberals hate more than opposing viewpoints, which is why AOC wants Fox News and Tucker Carlson regulated into submission.

And using claims of violence on January 6th is purposeful in regards to Fox. Carlson released portions of the January 6th surveillance footage at the Capitol earlier this year which contradict at least some of the claims of a violent insurrection.

Why is AOC so opposed to Tucker Carlson revealing the full video from that day?

Because she accused Senator Ted Cruz of trying to have her “killed” that day and suggested anyone downplaying her trauma was comparable to sexual abusers.

Because she ended up in therapy to learn to cope with the “extraordinarily traumatizing” Capitol protest.

If Fox News and Carlson report the truth or provide opposing viewpoints, you might learn that the ‘QAnon Shaman’ was not, in fact, a violent insurrectionist.

You might learn that the protest that day was mostly peaceful.

Hell, you might even learn that she wasn’t in the Capitol building on the day she was almost murdered.

Tucker Carlson v AOC

Carlson has described Ocasio-Cortez as a “sorority girl narcissist” and mocked her for claiming she could never be President because Americans “hate women” and “hate women of color.”

“My experience here has given me a front-row seat to how deeply and unconsciously, as well as consciously, so many people in this country hate women,” she said in a sprawling interview with GQ magazine published last year. “And they hate women of color.”

“‘They’re trying to kill me! They hate me! They just don’t like women,'” Carlson laughed.

“Obviously, I think she’s ludicrous — we mock her mercilessly. It’s well deserved. She’s an utter fraud,” he added.
