AOC: Business Owners Are Just Slave Owners, Employees Literally Dying Because of Their Greed

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez railed against successful business owners in her own ‘you didn’t build that’ moment, claiming they are simply modern-day slave owners with employees “literally dying” as a result of their greed.

New York’s favorite socialist made these comments during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event on Monday.

AOC, the undisputed leader of today’s Democrat party, was asked – using a widget analogy – why successful business owners are the “enemy of health care.”

She responded by implying business owners don’t actually work, they just sit on their couch counting their money while the slaves make it for them.

“Well, you didn’t make those widgets, did you?” the former bartender replied. “Because you employed thousands of people and paid them less than a living wage to make those widgets for you. You didn’t make those widgets.”

Wait, It Gets Crazier

The wild and sweeping suggestion that every successful business person underpays their workers is breathtaking.

Behold, it gets even more bats*** crazy from there.

“You sat on a couch while thousands of people were paid modern-day slave wages, and in some cases real slave, real modern-day slavery, uh, depending on where you are in terms of food production,” AOC foamed.

“You made that money off the backs of undocumented people. You made that money off the backs of black and brown people being paid under a living wage.”

Imagine being a trustee on the Board at Boston University and knowing your education system produced an economics major so completely and thoroughly illiterate in economics.

Killing Their Employees

Not content with demonizing successful business owners as racist slave drivers, Ocasio-Cortez went on to tell a very gullible audience that employees are “literally dying” because of their employer’s greed.

“You made that money off the backs of single mothers and all these people who are literally dying because they can’t afford to live and so no one ever makes a billion dollars,” she opined.

“I’m not here to villainize and to say that billionaires are inherently morally corrupt,” AOC said, attempting to villainize billionaires and say they are morally corrupt.

Added the intellectual leader of the left, “But they are, I mean, I think there is a case, but um, but, it’s not to say that, it’s to say that this system that we live in, life in capitalism, always ends in billionaires.”

Um … What?

The rant against successful people isn’t as extreme as you might think. We’re just eight years removed from Barack Obama claiming business owners built their fortunes on the backs of others.

“If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that,” Obama said. “Somebody else made that happen.”

Ocasio-Cortez took it a step further, saying business owners aren’t successful because of hard work, but rather luck.

“If you don’t do it, someone else will,” she said. “It’s who decides to make that choice is just kind of up to, you know, circumstance.”

How lucky of us that Ocasio-Cortez managed to slip through the cracks and find her way into Congress, completely over her head intellectually.
