A pair of Marine reservists of Mexican descent were hit with a barrage of racial slurs and viciously assaulted by Antifa protesters during an event in Philadelphia in November.
The Marines, Alejandro Godinez and Luis Torres, testified that they were in town for a Corps event when two Antifa protesters, Thomas Massey and Tom Keenan approached them. Philadelphia Magazine describes the latter pair as “linked to Antifa on websites and social media.”
They asked the Marines if they were “proud,” a reference to the ‘Proud Boys,’ a group that had been in attendance at an ‘alt-right’ rally in the city.
Being that the Marine Corps motto has been “the few, the proud, the Marines,” Godinez responded that he indeed was ‘proud.’

Details of the attack
That admission was the cue for the Antifa clowns to attack, calling in “approximately ten other people” who subsequently “began attacking them with mace, punches, and kicks” while calling them “Nazis” and “white supremacists.”
Godinez testified that he shouted “I’m Mexican!” at one point, bewildered that he was being assaulted for supposedly being a “white supremacist.”
According to the Daily Mail, testimony shows that one of the protesters responded to his pronouncement of being from Mexican descent by yelling racial slurs while the beating continued.
Keenan allegedly called the Mexican Marines racial slurs while simultaneously calling them ‘white supremacists’ – and Godinez was “maced at least six times, hit in the head, and kicked in the ribs.”
Both marines testified that around 12 Antifa terrorists began attacking them with mace, punches, kicks, and calling them “nazis” and “white supremacists.”

Godinez testified that the Antifa mob was “laughing, smiling, and having a good time, while I could have died that day.”
The lawyer for the men who incited this violence tried to downplay the attack, referring to it as a “tussle.”
The judge chastised the lawyer saying, “This isn’t like kids at a playground.”
Remember, this is the same left-wing group that the media defends
Any idea why you haven’t seen much about this story on mainstream news networks? It’s because this group, Antifa, are media darlings of the alt-left. They are the ‘warriors’ far-left journalists wish they could be, slinking out of their mother’s basement every now and again, wearing their masks, and attacking people because they disagree with their politics and beliefs.
They defend Antifa and hide their violent acts by downplaying them or burying the stories.
This past summer, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, tried to add racial sympathy to the group’s perception, making the bizarre claim that Antifa groups throughout the nation are “widely perceived as an African American organization.”

Toobin’s colleague, Chris Cuomo, defended the ‘all-white gang‘ by equating their violence to those they are fighting against – presumably the alt-right, or in this case, a pair of Marines mistaken for the alt-right.
“When someone comes to call out bigots and it gets hot, even physical, are they equally as wrong as the bigot they are fighting?” he asked. “I argue no.”
Somebody should ask Cuomo for his thoughts on this case. Are the Antifa thugs wrong for assaulting a pair of Marines? Does he stand by his comments?
