Amazing Video Resurfaces Showing Barack Obama Blasting Woke Politics, Elon Musk Agrees With His ‘Wise Words’
A very interesting video clip has resurfaced showing former President Barack Obama blasting the “politically woke,” prompting Twitter chief Elon Musk to praise his “wise words.”
Musk has sent the left into a tizzy of late, calling for an all-out eradication of wokeism.
“The woke mind virus is either defeated or nothing else matters,” he tweeted.

Musk previously mocked ex-Twitter staff by sharing a video of an entire closet of #StayWoke t-shirts and adding some crying-while-laughing emojis.

Obama on ‘Woke’ People: Get Over It
After claiming the “woke mind virus” must be “destroyed,” any indication somebody like former President Barack Obama might agree with Musk will surely drive liberals crazy.
Enter a clip from 2019 in which Obama, speaking about young progressives at a summit in 2019, tells the ‘woke’ crowd they need to “get over” it.
“This idea of purity and you’re never compromised and you’re always politically woke and all that stuff, you should get over that quickly,” he said, noting the world is more complex than simply casting purity tests on every human being.
“The world is messy. There are ambiguities,” Obama observed. “People who do really good stuff have flaws. People who you are fighting may love their kids and share certain things with you.”
It’s an interesting reminder for those on the right – as bad as they thought Obama was, even he can’t stomach the extreme lurch to the left among American Democrats.

Musk and Obama Agree
Ironically, Obama was specifically calling out ‘woke’ purists on the very social media platform on which Musk is trying to eliminate it.
Criticizing people on Twitter for poorly chosen words or for legitimately making a mistake and never accepting an apology for such a mistake does little more than give the allegedly pure some sense of righteousness over others.
“Then I can sit and feel pretty good about myself because, man, you see how woke I was, I called you out,” Obama said. “That’s not activism. That’s not bringing about change. If all you’re doing is casting stones, you’re probably not going to get that far. That’s easy to do.”
Musk responded to Barack’s comments saying: “Wise words from President Obama.”

USA Today described Obama’s comments at the time as having generated a rare moment of bipartisan agreement.
Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren stated in response that it was good to hear Obama “standing up for our rights and our values of the First Amendment.”
Lahren called Obama a “voice of reason.”
“That’s when you know the Democratic Party has gotten this bad,” she said.
Musk, even prior to purchasing Twitter, had been calling out extremism by the left.
He posted a graphic back in April indicating liberals have moved so far to the left as ‘woke’ progressives that it’s shifted people in the middle inadvertently to the right side of the political spectrum.

Musk truly drove the ‘woke’ crowd insane when he used a mocking reference to announcing his pronouns by calling for the prosecution of Dr. Anthony Fauci.
“My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci,” Musk wrote.
In an interview last year, Musk sounded nearly identical to Obama when addressing ‘woke’ politics.
“Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation and hate basically?” he asked during an interview with the Babylon Bee.
“At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful,” he continued. “It basically gives mean people a shield to be mean and cruel, armored in false virtue.”
The woke mind virus must be destroyed. Obama and Musk both agree.
