Representative Nancy Mace accused ABC’s George Stephanopolous of trying to “shame me as a rape victim” over her support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Mace appeared on ABC’s This Week to discuss her support of Trump. Stephanopolous insisted she explain her support considering Trump, in a civil case with writer E. Jean Carroll, was accused of sexual assault.

“You’ve endorsed Donald Trump for president,” Stephanopoulos began. “Judges and two separate juries have found him liable for rape and for defaming the victim of that rape.” The anchor would repeatedly repeat this false claim. Trump was not found “liable for rape.”

“How do you square your endorsement of Donald Trump with the testimony we just saw?”

Mace replied by noting that she has publicly revealed she was a rape victim at the age of 16 before insisting she wouldn’t take the bait on his false argument.

“I’m not going to sit here on your show and be asked a question meant to shame me about another potential rape victim,” she angrily responded. “I’m not going to do that.”

Nancy Mace Hammers George Stephanopolous

George Stephanopolous insisted he wasn’t trying to shame Nancy Mace (R-SC).

“You’ve endorsed Donald Trump for president. Donald Trump has been found liable for rape by a jury. Donald Trump has been found liable for defaming the victim of that rape by a jury,” he said. “It’s been affirmed by a judge. He’s repeatedly —”

But Mace chimed in at this point to set the record straight.

“It was not a criminal court case, number one,” she fired back. “Number two, I live with shame, and you’re asking me a question about my political choices trying to shame me as a rape victim and I find it disgusting.”

In a post on the X social media platform, Mace called the incident “gross.” And, she pointed out that Stephanopolous is a “Clinton crony turned fake journalist.”

George Worked For A Guy Who Was Credibly Accused Of Rape

Of course, Nancy Mace is right. George Stephanopolous was the former White House Communications Director under President Bill Clinton.

Additionally, he secretly donated $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation, then proceeded to cover for and interview Bill and Hillary Clinton while posing as an objective journalist for years.

Furthermore, Stephanopolous worked for a man who is widely considered to be the biggest serial sexual abuser in the history of the White House.

Juanita Broaddrick, the former owner of a nursing home, accused Clinton of raping her decades earlier when he was a gubernatorial candidate in Arkansas.

Ronan Farrow, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and prominent player in the ‘Me Too’ movement, said Broaddrick’s allegations of rape against Clinton were “credible”.

Will anybody demand he explain his support for a man whose rape and multiple sexual assault allegations are significantly more credible than those against Trump?
