700 Hollywood Stars Sign Open Letter In Support Of Israel

Over 700 A-list stars have signed an open letter supporting Israel, with the list of signers including Gal Gadot, Jerry Seinfeld, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Pine, Mayim Bialik, Liev Schreiber, Amy Schumer, Michael Douglas and more.

Celebrities Sign Letter Supporting Israel

Created by the nonprofit organization Creative Community for Peace, the letter condemns the Hamas attack on Israel and demands that all hostages be returned safely, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It goes on to call on people in the entertainment world to refrain from sharing misinformation about the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Other notable Hollywood figures who signed the letter include Debra Messing, Bryan Lourd, Richard Lovett, Ryan Murphy, Zachery Levi, Sharon Osbourne, Tracey-Ann Oberman, George Lopez, Phil Rosenthal, Mekhi Phifer, Diane Warren, Haim Saban, Irving Azoff, Ynon Kreiz, Jody Gerson, Mark Hamill, Rick Yorn, Howie Mandel, Sherry Lansing, Rick Yorn, Tom Rothman Julian Edelman and Antoine Fuqua.

Full Letter

The full letter reads:

“The nightmare that Israelis have feared for decades became a reality as Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israeli cities and towns.

Under the cover of thousands of rockets fired indiscriminately into civilian populations, Hamas murdered and kidnapped innocent men, women, and children. They kidnapped and murdered infants and the elderly. They raped women and mutilated their bodies. They paraded their bodies through the streets and on social media, and cowardly attacked the Supernova Music Festival — bringing death and destruction to an event celebrating friendship and love.

This is terrorism. This is evil. There is no justification or rationalization for Hamas’ actions. These are barbaric acts of terrorism that must be called out by everyone. They are a terrorist organization whose leaders call for the murder of Jews everywhere.

CCFP calls on our friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry to speak out forcefully against Hamas and do whatever is in their power to urge the terrorist organization to return the innocent hostages to their families.

As Israel takes the necessary steps to defend its citizens in the coming days and weeks, social media will be overrun by an orchestrated misinformation campaign spearheaded by Iran. We urge everyone to remember the horrific images that came out of Israel and to not amplify or fall for their propaganda.

Our thoughts are with all those experiencing unfathomable levels of fear and violence, and we hope for the day when Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace.”

Follow-Up Statement – Second Letter

Variety reported that Creative Community for Peace issued a statement saying that “in addition to the 1,200+ Israelis murdered, citizens from the U.S., UK, Canada, France, Thailand, Nepal, Russia, Ukraine, Cambodia, Germany, Philippines, Chile, Brazil, Italy, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Ireland have been identified as either missing or killed.”

Another letter released today by the National Council of Jewish Women was signed by celebrities that include Gadot, Messing, Schumer, Montana Tucker and Mandy Moore.

“We urge all governments, international organizations and civil society groups to condemn these crimes and take action to help secure the release of hostages,” this letter read. “We urge the International Committee of the Red Cross, UNICEF, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and others, to do everything within their power to get much-needed aid to hostages.”

    It’s about time and way over due that Hollywood people are starting to see the light on some very important issues by golly! Thank you and hope you stick with Republicans come November 2024 too! Spread the word to get more people tp vote RED come November 2024 and that means you are VOTING for AMERICA not necessarily for the Person okay!
    I do love Trump, but not everyone does despite what he did for America! Not a fan of Vivek Ramaswamy either, he is way too much like Obama fast and smoother talker! I do like Ron DeSantis! And wish he and Trump would make up and be running partners, as they would be great for America! Get rid of those darn Judges and AT’s and we will be fine!

    while I am glad that a certain amount of Hollywood denizens (stars) are supporting Israel … and I regret that a certain amount of Hwood lesser lights don’t … it doesn’t really make a rat’s a** difference to me … from what I read in the media since i don’t know one star or wannabe they are a fickle bunch … and apparently very few support my values … I hate myself when I take the time to read about such crap much less reply to same

      We rarely pay any attention to Holly-wood people and do not go to the movies, rarely watch them on TV either, BUT this caught my attention for some oddball reason such a rarity! Jess & Shane
