YouTube Permanently Bans Dan Bongino – But He Gets The Last Laugh

YouTube has permanently banned conservative radio host Dan Bongino after the platform said he violated their rules by uploading a video titled 'Why I'm Leaving YouTube' while serving a seven-day suspension for alleged COVID misinformation.

YouTube has permanently banned conservative radio host Dan Bongino after the platform said he violated their rules by uploading a video titled ‘Why I’m Leaving YouTube’ while serving a seven-day suspension for alleged COVID misinformation.

A spokesperson for YouTube told The Hill that Bongino supposedly tried to evade the suspension, which resulted in the permanent ban.

According to the report, Bongino had a secondary channel suspended for violating YouTube’s COVID-19 misinformation policy.

While that suspension was ongoing, the radio host purportedly violated YouTube’s rules by trying to upload another video on his main channel – thus evading the suspension.

Ironically, the video Bongino uploaded to his main channel was entitled, “Why I’m Leaving YouTube.”

“We terminated Dan Bongino’s channels for circumventing our Terms of Service by posting a video while there was an active strike and suspension associated with the account,” the spokesperson said.

“When a channel receives a strike, it is against our Terms of Service to post content or use another channel to circumvent the suspension.”

Bongino Banned From YouTube After Saying He’s Leaving YouTube

It would be impossible to notice the ‘I broke up with you first’ back and forth taking place with YouTube and Bongino.

The Bongino Report’s Twitter account responded by mocking YouTube for banning the host after he posted a video saying he was leaving.

“Hilarious watching the @YouTube communists desperately try to save face after we told them to go f%^* themselves,” they tweeted.

The Bongino Report also tweeted, “Good riddance to YouTube.”

The conservative personality has over 2 million followers on Rumble, a competing video platform, compared to just 870,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Censorship

In a video posted to Rumble, Bongino blasted YouTube as “full of liberal slobs who would love nothing more than to see censorship enacted” and “conservatives and Republicans banned from speaking out about liberty and freedom.”

He challenged YouTube to apply their misinformation policies to Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“You will not be finding any more of my videos here on YouTube, this will be the last one,” he said. “So I give YouTube the collective double-barreled middle finger and tell you thanks for playing.”

“But we’re not interested in any negotiation with you about the rules of free speech.”

Bongino concluded by describing YouTube as a “communist platform.”

Despite the ban, Bongino maintains a strong social media presence with the Bongino Report, as a co-owner of the social media site Parler, and holder of an equity stake in Rumble, the video-sharing competitor to YouTube.

Rumble is experiencing rapid growth of late, posting record weekly video bandwidth consumption and seeing the most-ever videos uploaded to the platform in a week earlier this month.
