President Bush Was Enjoying A Baseball Game – Then This Major Star Showed Up!

President Bush

WWE superstar Paul Wight, better known to wrestling fans as The Big Show, hung out with another big-time baseball fan at the Texas Rangers opening day game.

That other fan happened to be the former President of the United States, George W. Bush.

Big Show posted a picture of him shaking Bush’s hand with a caption that read: “Not a bad first picture, right? It was an honor meeting President Bush this afternoon! Go @Rangers!”

All of the comments to Big Show’s picture were positive and appreciative of the photo, which was a surprise considering the Bush Derangement Syndrome permeating social media.

Via Fox News Insider:

One day after breaking attendance records at WrestleMania 32 at Dallas’ AT&T Stadium, WWE’s Big Show attended the Texas Rangers’ Opening Day game.

At the ballpark, “The World’s Largest Athlete,” who is coming off a disappointing early elimination in The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, got a chance to meet former President George W. Bush.

They snapped a picture together, which Big Show posted to Instagram along with the caption, “Not a bad first picture, right? It was an honor meeting President Bush this afternoon! Go Rangers!”

The Rangers defeated the Seattle Mariners 3-2.

The ‘world’s largest athlete’ let loose a bit later on regarding the encounter with W., saying it wasn’t just an honor, it was “the coolest s*** I’ve ever done.”

We all know that the former president is beloved by many people serving in the military because of everything he does to honor them.

What you might not know is that the WWE is probably one of the most pro-military companies in the world.

World Wrestling Entertainment military outreach programs now range from “Tribute to the Troops” shows in which live-action matches are performed in Iraq, Afghanistan, or bases throughout the U.S., to programs for youth members of the National Guard, to partnerships that create job opportunities for veterans and their spouses. WWE also provides smaller-scale perks. There are the free tickets provided to all military personnel who wish to attend live events within the U.S., as well as free access to their pay-per-view events.

Stars regularly visit military bases and hospitals such as the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Bethesda Naval Hospital, and make frequent trips to a new facility in San Antonio.

“We respect and love our soldiers for giving us the freedoms we have in this country,” former WWE champion Mark Henry explained. “We’re trying to serve our country in a way, but it will never meet what they do for us.”

Thank you WWE, and thanks to The Big Show and George W. Bush for sharing a great moment on baseball’s opening day.
