Actor William Shatner will always be known as Captain James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise, as well as Officer T. J. Hooker. Both were popular TV shows in their time and he has crossed over into icon status. One of Shatner’s co-stars, George Takei, who played Sulu on Star Trek has been very vocal about Donald Trump being elected as President of the United States but Shatner has remained quiet.
Most of us feel that Hollyweird celebrities should remain quiet in the political realm because most of them are liberal to the bone. They push the Democrat message through web ads and infomercials, almost to the point of disgust.

Shatner made a huge choice not to bash Trump and it’s a common sense reason whether he’s joking or not. Shatner is from Canada and he’s never shied away from his home country.
Speaking with the outlet in an interview published Monday, Shatner made it clear that he did not add his name to an open letter last year denouncing Trump’s candidacy.
“I didn’t do that. I would never have done that,” the actor said of the anti-Trump letter posted on the Trek Against Trump Facebook page last September.
Notable personalities like original series star George Takei, who played Hikaru Sulu, and Star Trek Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams, an outspoken Clinton supporter, also signed the letter.
As the Beast reporter attempted, again, to get Shatner to dish on Trump, the actor made it clear that he wasn’t willing to pan the president.
“I don’t want to discuss Trump or [George] Takei,” Shatner said, adding: “Listen, I’m Canadian and I’m apolitical. I love America. I consider myself a guest here.”
“I won’t do anything that might get me deported,” the 86-year-old star joked.

There is definitely a set of incredible old Hollywood people that I know and love, and all of them are for Trump. Don’t trash all of Hollywood because those that do obviously don’t know what they’re talking about. Not all of Hollywood is evil, but the Studios are mostly at fault.

If you read his tweets Shatner is firmly on the right. Have you noticed Shatner continues to be a success and Takei is a washed up liberal troll trying to draw attention to himself? Maybe Shatner’s refusal to talk politics has contributed to his continued success.
What do you think of Shatner’s choice to remain quiet about Trump? Do you support his decision or would you want to hear more of his politics? Share your opinions below in the comment section and add this article to your Facebook and Twitter timeline.
