Why Does The Subject Of Reparations Divide The Country?

The mere discussion of reparations furthers the discord within our society. When you provide an income source, which is not based on the basic service/goods rendered scenario, IE “a free lunch,” someone else will invariably “foot the bill.”

At what point do we all move on and achieve, based on our own merit?

Using the Congressional Black Caucus to push this idea, knowing full well it won’t be done nor is it an idea that will fix anything is a slave move. You put these high-profile props on video and give them the talking points you can’t speak about because you will never give reparations to individuals for something that happened over 200 years ago.

Many, and I repeat, many black Americans had ancestors who were slaves, and were raised in poverty, but are successful now because they made choices that made them successful.

Many others are in similar positions to him because of the choices they’ve made. Reparations won’t do anyone any good because they don’t get to the root of the problem which is the attitudes of the people themselves.

Think about it like this. Democrats have been giving reparations for over 50 years, but not directly to black Americans in their hands. Fifty years of social entitlement programs, trillions spent on the “war on poverty,” years of affirmative action preferences, continued admission preferences in college, literally trillions spent to help African Americans rise the economic scale after slavery ended over 100 years ago. Nothing seems to have worked in some Black Americans lives. How will reparations, in their bank accounts, be different or help change anything?

Let’s face it – this is nothing but an attempt by the Democrats to buy votes. First, it is free stuff via socialism for votes and now reparations. I think it’s time to review the laws that prevent paying off people for votes. And we worry about Russia.

I’ve always felt that anyone who feels wronged by slavery should file a lawsuit against the organization most responsible. ==>The Democrats.

It was the Democratic Party that defended slavery that started the Civil War. It was the Democratic Party that instituted Jim Crow and the Ku Klux Klan. If anyone is responsible for the oppression of Black Americans, it was the Democrats.

Let them pay for the policy of their past.
