WHOA! Rand Paul Has FIGHTING Words for Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz

Rand Paul criticized Cruz this week for breaching Senate decorum, saying the Texan could not accomplish any of his legislative priorities because of how much his GOP colleagues despise him.

“Ted has chosen to make this really personal and chosen to call people dishonest in leadership and call them names, which really goes against the decorum and also against the rules of the Senate, and as a consequence he can’t get anything done legislatively,” Paul said in an interview on Fox News Radio on Tuesday. “He is pretty much done for … and it’s really because of personal relationships, or lack of personal relationships, and it is a problem.”

Paul said he was “still just as hardcore” in taking on the establishment as Cruz, but has declined to call his colleagues names. If he were as hardcore as Cruz, he wouldn’t have made the statement.

Paul alluded to last month when Cruz called Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a liar on the Senate floor (Paul backed McConnell in Kentucky’s Senate race.) Check out the video clip:

This might anger many readers, but Paul sure had me and others fooled. We thought he was a conservative, but lo and behold, he’s out for himself.

Let’s see… going “against the decorum and also against the rules of the Senate” is more important to the establishment “followers” then doing what is right for this country? House Speaker John Boehner, in his resignation announcement, rambled on about how as Speaker, his # 1 job is protecting the institution of the House. These guys are just too blind to see it….they’re not there for decorum or the institution. They’re there to serve….us….not themselves.

It’s so refreshing to hear Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate doing what he said he’d do when he won election to the Senate, unlike the ones who talked the talk but won’t walk the walk. Keep the Trey Gowdy’s, the Louie Gohmert’s, the Mike Lee’s, the Ted Cruz’s and most importantly…vote the rest out.

What do you think of Paul’s prediction? Is Cruz done in the Senate? Is this the end for the Senator from Texas? Share your opinions below in our comment section and add this to your social media timeline for discussion.
