Washington Post Says White Democrat Men Are ‘Endangered’

White men endangered

Democrats desperately need to increase their share of votes among the white working class if they want to win national elections – and they’re ignoring that fact when it comes to the primaries.

Perhaps it’s in the theme of branding everything Trump does as “racist” that rather than seek out qualified candidates, it appears that Democrats are looking to push diversity for diversity’s sake. While there’s obviously nothing wrong with diversity, the kind of forced-diversity they’re pushing is alienating a large chunk of their base. For instance, consider the following tweet from the Democrats’ official Twitter account:

If they want more women elected, what’s the need to break them up even into more demographics based on race, religion, or disability? Dividing up people into as many different groups as possible is hardly a unifying message, and most people are intelligent enough to see through the nonsense.

The Democrats divided women up into groups like “black women” or “LGBT women” just to score some “social justice” points. You and I know that they would not for a pro-life female candidate, even if they were Jewish, Latina, or whatever the heck AAPI is.

Identity politics is the Democrats primary strategy in the Trump-era, and they are attracting the candidates they want.  A new Washington Post article is headlined “The worst thing to be in many Democratic primaries? A white male candidate,” and that’s for sure.

To quote from their article: “Given an option, Democratic voters have been picking women, racial minorities, and gay men and lesbians in races around the country at historic rates, often at the expense of the white male candidates who in past years. Through the end of June, 151 women have won House Democratic primaries, nearly doubling the 81 female nominees at the same point in the 2016 cycle, according to data collected by the Center for American Women in Politics at Rutgers University. Republican nominations of women rose much more slowly, to 32 in 2018 from 27 in 2016.”

And at the same time, young white men (and white voters at large) are fleeing the Democrat Party. According to a report in The Guardian, “While millennials still prefer the Democratic party over the Republicans, that support is tanking. In just two years, it dropped sharply from 55% to 46%.” And where did they go? Of the nine percentage point decline, two-thirds, or six percentage points, moved to the Right. When it comes to white male millennials, Democrats polled in that Demographic 12 percentage points above Republicans in 2016.

Just two years later, white male millennials favor Republicans by 11 percentage points, a staggering 23 point move. And for that seismic shift, Democrats can blame themselves.

Given that Democrats are doing everything they can to demonize and isolate White men, things are not going to go well for the party as we head into this year’s 2018 Midterm elections.
