On Sunday, Hogan Gidley, White House Deputy Press Secretary, appeared on Fox News’ MediaBuzz and slammed Anthony Scaramucci, former White House Communications Director, for his week-long media blitz denouncing President Donald Trump and the administration.
Host Howard Kurtz asked Gidley for his thoughts about Scaramucci’s break from the president which seems to hit new lows anytime this perpetual opportunist appears on MSNBC and CNN.
It was like the tapping of a bell for a boxing match, because Gidley didn’t hold back calling out the less than two-week stretch that Scaramucci was in the White House. Gidley seemed to agree with my analysis that Scaramucci has joined the ranks of “people who are trying to profit off of Donald Trump’s name.”

Gidley: “They’re considered persona non grata if they’re in Donald Trump’s orbit and support this president, but the moment they say something bad about the president, they all of a sudden become the toast of the town. I’ve seen it time and time again, it is instantaneous. When you have a chance to make money and profiteer off of the mocking, pushing against the present, people do it all the time, and in this instance it is no different.”

Kurtz asked Gidley to clarify if his position about Scaramucci’s revolt and whether it was about reputation and personal profit.
Gidley: “Only he can answer for why he is doing it. As soon as you come out of the administration, they still do not like you unless you’re willing to say something negative about this president. And when they do, they welcome you with open arms and push you to the highest order and promote your agenda because they want people that will join in their effort to destroy this president.”
Earlier Sunday morning, Scaramucci called Trump supporters, cultists.

That’s right, Mooch, Trump supporters are a cult of deplorable, white-nationalists who cling to their guns and Bibles and are not intelligent enough to know that they are racists.

Your problem, Mooch, is that the 60,000,000 Trump supporters make up half the electorate and 80 percent of the sane electorate.
We need to establish a new category for people like him. He belongs to the Order of the Weasel. The Left loves the Scaramucci right now and he loves the adoration from the Left. The more he attacks Trump, the more they love him. But soon, when the Left is done with him, they will kick him to the curb, and he’ll be all alone.
