On Monday, President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the 139th annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House. The event was the first time the Trumps have hosted the annual tradition, and unlike past years, this one was all class.
The event hosts approximately 20,000 individuals, with children of America’s military and local D.C. area children flocking to the White House to participate in the family-friendly event.
First Lady Melania Trump’s first time hosting the event was full of grace and class, with Mrs. Trump detailing the long history of the Easter egg roll, as well as taking time to thank our troops for their service.
Here’s video of Melania’s comments:
During her speech, Melania thanked “all of the military with us today and all military in this great nation and servicemen and servicewomen all around the world who are keeping us safe. As we renew this tradition, thank you for joining us. On behalf of the president and Barron, we wish you great fun and beautiful day coming ahead of us. And Happy Easter!”

Contrast Melania’s classy speech with Michelle Obama who in 2015 engaged in a crass, vulgar dance with the cast of “So You Think You Can Dance.” Michelle used the Easter Egg Roll to hype her “Let’s Move!” event, but chose to do some inappropriate dance moves at the family event.
Here’s video of Michelle’s dancing:
Melania’s kind, heartfelt comments at this year’s Easter Egg Roll show the stark difference between her and Michelle Obama. Michelle Obama felt the need to make the annual tradition all about her, dancing inappropriately while promoting her fitness campaign whereas Melania praised our military and those in attendance. Once again, Melania Trump showed that she’s a truly classy First Lady!
