Famous actor Gary Sinise is a great human being. He takes care of our veterans and police officers.
The Gary Sinise Foundation is known for building smart homes for wounded veterans, but what is not as widely known is that he also takes care of first responders and their families. Mike Flamion is a paralyzed police officer that found an angel in Sinise who built him a smart home for his entire family.
There are many words that fit this man – amazing, wonderful, incredible, unselfish, considerate, kind, and caring!

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that the Gary Sinise Foundation is building a home for a paralyzed police officer.
According to police, on July 8 Officer Michael Flamion of the Ballwin, Missouri Police Department was shot in the neck from behind by a man he had stopped for speeding. The bullet severed Officer Flamion’s spine, paralyzing him from the neck down.
The Gary Sinise Foundation is known for building special homes for wounded veterans, but also, according to its website, serves “defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need.” The foundation builds “smart homes,” places specially modified for ease of use by people with disabilities.
The Flamions are at Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colo., which specializes in spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. The husband and wife made a video thanking the Sinise Foundation and the support of the public. “Hi, I’m Officer Mike Flamion and this is my wife, Sarah,” Officer Flamion says. “We’re very thankful and excited for the Gary Sinise Foundation that’s helping us build a house.”
“We are very thankful for all of the people who have donated time and money to the foundation to help us get a modified home for Mike,” his wife adds.
Ballwin Police Chief Kevin Scott said at a press conference Thursday that Flamion is expected to return to St. Louis in mid- to late November. Scott called Flamion “the bravest man I’ve ever known.”
God bless this man and his foundation. President Trump should appoint him to be head of the VA to get it straightened out and get veterans the care they need.
After thinking about it, I can’t describe him in one word. He’s just a great man doing God’s work.
