Juan Williams multiple assertions that Greg Gutfeld, co-host of The Five, is “in the bunker” for President Trump, started a heated exchange Wednesday evening.
The panel had been analyzing the testimony of convicted criminal Michael Cohen during a hearing before the House Oversight Committee when things started going off the rails.
Gutfeld, seeking an opportunity for panelist Morgan Ortagus to join the conversation, cut into Williams analysis of the President’s strategy to kill negative stories about him.
As a result, Wiliams accused Gutfeld of being “so deep in the bunker” before he was cut off with, “Oh shut up, Juan!”
“I’m in nobody’s ‘bunker,” Gutfeld continued. “Enough with your ‘bunker’—! I’m trying to be polite to somebody on the panel, Juan — which you won’t do, which you won’t do!”
It appeared Williams didn’t take Gutfeld’s ‘enough with your bunker’ comment seriously, as he raised the notion once again in a follow-up segment involving Jesse Waters.
Waters dismissed Cohen’s testimony as lacking anything newsworthy, something with which Juan clearly didn’t agree.
“Again, you’re so blind, because you, like Greg, are deep in the bunker,” asserted Williams.
“You know, if you say that again, I’m going to throw you off the set,” Gutfeld countered.
Gutfeld went on to claim Williams was making the tired liberal media analogy that anybody who defends the President must be a terrible human being.
“You know what the bunker means?” Gutfeld asked, animatedly pointing at Juan from across the table. “What your intimating is that who is in the bunker? Adolf Hitler, correct?”
Williams denied that’s what he was trying to say. Admittedly, it seems a bit of a stretch to make that leap in logic. Williams appears to be referencing a longstanding saying which means someone is willing to fight alongside a friend.
This isn’t the first time the pair of ‘Five’ co-hosts have struggled to get through a segment in a civil manner towards each other.
In June, Williams defended actor Peter Fonda’s reprehensible tweet threatening President Trump’s son Barron with violence as simply being “poorly-worded.”
Gutfeld was surprised to hear Juan unwilling to join in with the consensus that Fonda was extremely out of line.
That same month, Williams claimed Greg had called Otto Warmbier a ‘lemming,’ to which the latter responded by calling him a ‘moron.’
“You say Kerry and others are lemmings,” asked Williams. “Is Otto Warmbier one of the lemmings? Did he just go away, go off the edge?”
“That makes no sense,” Gutfeld fired back. “I did not say that. That was so wrong, Juan. I did not call Warmbeir a lemming, you moron.”

I NEVER watch this show BECAUSE of Juan Williams' stupid, moonic comments. All the other panelists make coherent comments, not just because I agree with them, but Juan is a dope - STUPID, and a mosquito annoyance because he makes NO Sense at ALL.
GET HIM OFF THE SHOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

re: Cohen. let's be clear about the legitimate reason Schiff is "investigating". it's to prove that somehow it's a "campaign finance violation" for Trump to pay his own money to keep someone from making tabloid worthy allegations against him. SO WHAT? we all know what's really going on, the Dems are using their new-found power to feed the media their Hate Trump agenda. so Congress is inappropriately throwing away the taxpayers' time when they actually have real work to do, and Schiff is trying to disarm the President from doing HIS job for the Country, how is this not TREASON?

how brilliant of these two to create this animosity! how many more folks will tune in now to see if the fists start flying?
Williams needs to go, and should take the screech voice Tarlov,, Shepard, and Wallace with him.
I call him Whine Williams... all he ever does is WHINE!
The 'Juan' is Fox News token demoncrat, a true subservience of which there are multitudes today.
Juan spins everything around some of the things he says about the President is just so bias. Jesse usually puts him in his place, but I guess he really stepped on Greg's toes one too many times. Good for you Greg.
We have trash pick up early each Thursday mornings where will have resided since 1976 and similar arrangements are needed just as was apparently suggested and especially in this incident by Mr. Gutfied!!!
