Former Deputy Secretary Of State Wendy Sherman Says Hard To Elect Woman After First Black President

Former Deputy Secretary Of State Wendy Sherman just made the most ignorant comment of all time.

Sherman actually said that because America moved the needle of social change by electing a black president, there was no chance a woman would have gotten elected afterward. Here’s the direct quote: “I believe in my bones that it was pretty hard to elect a woman after you’ve elected the first African-American president.”

That’s a whole heaping load of hogwash, if you ask me.

The truth is nothing like that. If the Democrats ran a viable candidate that addressed the need to fix America after Barack Obama, they might have had a chance. Democrats are quick to blame someone else instead of looking in the mirror and finding the true nature of their incompetence.

Sherman forgets about accountability and leaps into the world of “could of, should of, would of,” which never results in victory.

Former acting United States Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman on Tuesday suggested that one reason Hillary Clinton lost in November was because Barack Obama was the first African-American President.

“There is no doubt that we just had eight years of an African-American president,” Sherman told the Aspen Ideas Festival audience, adding that that fact is a factor “in all that we are experiencing today.”

“When we make a social change, when we make a decision to do something we have never done before, we then take two steps backwards at least,” she said.

“I believe in my bones,” Sherman concluded, “that it was pretty hard to elect a woman after you’ve elected the first African-American president.”

Why hasn’t the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, or Al Sharpton slammed her for these comments? Why aren’t women groups distancing themselves from her? It’s because these low-information voters believe this crap. They believe whatever liberal academics say and that’s a shame.

Sooner or later, Americans are going to get tired of being called dumb and ignorant and they will fight back. They already have, if electing Donald Trump was any indication.
