Watch: Dem Mayor Encourages Blatant Voter Fraud

A Democrat mayor in Louisiana, and father of the Chief of Staff to Senator Mary Landrieu, has been caught on video telling voters who already cast early ballots to “go vote again tomorrow” on Election Day. Don Cravins Sr. then tells constituents that voting a second time is “not going to hurt,” and explains that committing voter fraud would be a perfectly fine option since the Democrat candidate for District Attorney “won’t prosecute you if you vote twice.”

Cravins was addressing his comments to those who had opted for early voting in Landrieu’s primary election on November 4th. He made the comments on November 3rd, encouraging voters to go vote again on Election Day.

Cravins is the current mayor of Opelousas, Louisiana and a former Louisiana Democratic state legislator. His son, Don Cravins Jr., serves as Chief of Staff to Mary Landrieu, who is facing a difficult runoff election this Saturday.

Cravins Jr. was in attendance at the event in which his father encouraged blatant voter fraud.

Via the Daily Mail:

Video of Opelousas, Louisiana Mayor Don Cravins Sr.’s Nov. 3 remarks show him telling a crowd in his home town that ‘if you “early voted,” go vote again tomorrow. One more time’s not going to hurt.’

Louisianans, like Americans in many states, had the option of either voting ‘early’ or showing up on Election Day. Taking advantage of both options would be a crime.

And for voters worried about criminal fraud charges, Cravins said he had an insurance policy – the re-election of a Democratic district attorney.

Cravins’ remarks were met first by laughs and then by wild cheers as he told the crowd to ‘vote number 99’ – Mary Landrieu’s ballot-line number.

Landrieu’s campaign did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

State Sen. Elbert Guillory referred to the video footage as “shocking, even for the sad swamp of Democrat politics here in Louisiana.”

Guillory previously criticized Landrieu in political ads stating that the black community in Louisiana represented nothing more than a vote “so that she remains in power.”

How do you feel about Democrats encouraging voters to break the law by voting twice?
