Student Gun-Control Activists Received Coaching from Democrats

Wasserman Schultz gun control

Former Georgia Republican Jack Kingston got himself into a little trouble after the Stoneman Douglas school shooting when he suggested that the survivors could be “hijacked by left wing groups.”

Most of the comments in reply to his tweet were putting him on blast, accusing him of being “afraid” of these student activists. One of the survivors of the shooting said on CNN in response to the tweet, “I think it’s very despicable that he would have the audacity to say that,” and asked for an apology. Another survivor of the shooting said that such comments are “to be expected.”

But here’s the thing: Kingston was completely right. Buzzfeed recently ran an expose on the school shooting survivors now calling for gun control, and buried within the piece was this revelation:

“Democratic US Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Broward County resident for nearly 30 years, told BuzzFeed News she has been in touch with students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas since the day after the shooting, helping them connect to state legislators and plan their trip to Tallahassee last week.”

Schultz reportedly advised them on communication strategy. The students haven’t required any assistance in being paraded around the media – as the media has been happy to do that themselves.

Next month their pro-gun control “March For Our Lives” is planned in Washington D.C., a city that saw in explosion in violence during a period when they banned handguns.

Left-wing unions have been involved for a while already providing buses and that’s really just the start. A number of left-wing groups are sponsoring and taking part in the March, including Everytown For Gun Safety (Michael Bloomberg’s group), Move On, Planned Parenthood, and the Women’s March LA.

It only took a few days for Kingston’s comments to become vindicated, though it was amusing to see CNN among those criticizing him, given that no network has done more to exploit those victims for political purposes than them.

Meanwhile, another prediction made by Fox News’ Michael Malice also took only a few days to become a reality:
