VIDEO: Obama’s Earth Day Hypocrisy Called out by White House Reporter

President Obama spent Earth Day burning 9,180 gallons of fuel flying on Air Force One to the Florida Everglades. The White House was either indifferent or ignorant to the hypocrisy of leaving such a massive footprint to encourage others to use less resources.

Mark Knoller of CBS News asked Press Secretary Josh Earnest if the length of travel was hypocritical given the topic of the President’s message.

“On the Everglades Trip, does the President risk undermining his message when he flies to the Everglades on a 747 hundreds of miles to make a statement on climate change.”

Calling the statement “provocative,” Earnest responded that the environmental expense of the trip did not interfere with the message. The obvious hypocrisy of the President’s Earth Day message drew chuckles from the White House Press Corps.
