Utica College was placed on lockdown Monday due to a ‘real, credible threat,’ the university said.
“Everyone on campus is to remain sheltered in place,” the school said in an alert. “Please get to a safe place and remain there until you are told the shelter in place direction has been lifted.”

Police are reportedly on the scene, although it’s not evident what the threat entails. Students are being urged to take shelter and remain cautious.

UPDATE: Police are now currently clearing buildings on campus. Students are warned to follow all instructions from law enforcement.
