USA Today Mocked Into Oblivion After Promoting “Chainsaw Firearm”

The level of self-awareness among gun control advocates is even smaller than initially thought.

The left-leaning Vox, which is known for their lengthy think pieces on public policy, found themselves heavily mocked after an explainer they ran on the AR-15, which explained how a grenade launcher was a modification piece on an AR-15.

By the way, while they present the AR-15 as the “gun behind some of the worst mass shootings in America,” all rifles kill roughly 300 people a year. The figures for knives are 1,600, 500 for hammers, and 700 for fists.

Now, over a year later, USA Today decided the top the insanity by releasing the following video on the recent Texas church shooting.

There was one part of the video that stood out…

Yes, a chainsaw bayonet.

Someone pitched that idea, and management signed off on it. It’s beyond idiotic because no right-thinking person would ever add such a silly device to their gun. What would be the point? Fighting off a zombie invasion? Cutting through the rainforest? It doesn’t make any sense, except in the minds of people who’ve never held a gun in their life.

The rest of the world had their own contributions…

USA Today eventually issued the following “clarification.”

No kidding. No shooter uses a chainsaw bayonet. That’s because it doesn’t even exist.

You know, if you want to make the case for gun control, there are ways to do it without coming off as completely clueless when it comes to firearms. If the people at USA Today wanted to have a real conversation on the merits of gun ownership and the manufacturing of lethal weapons, they should brush up on a bit on how guns actually work.

Except they won’t. The left is not arguing in good faith. They make up radical stereotypes and pretend that they’re the norm. It’s good politics, but deceitful.

Share this if you think gun-grabbers are totally ignorant about guns!
