It is well-known that the liberal media is out to get President Trump and his allies, shaming anyone who associates themselves with the president and his agenda. While many celebrities and CEO’s will keep their political views, if they are conservative, to themselves, one CEO is courageously standing up and praising the job Mr. Trump has done as our president.
Kevin Plank, CEO of the popular sportswear company Under Armour, said during an interview with CNBC that President Trump is a “real asset for the country.”
Appearing on the show “Fast Money Halftime Report” on Tuesday, Plank explained that Trump’s pro-business attitude is “Something that is a real asset for the country. People can really grab that opportunity.”

More from the interview:
He was responding to a question from CNBC anchor Scott Wapner about the CEO’s involvement in Trump’s Manufacturing Jobs Initiative.

“He wants to build things. He wants to make bold decisions and be really decisive,” Plank said, alluding to Trump’s desire to bolster American manufacturing and his plans to build a wall along the US-Mexico border and pass a large infrastructure improvement bill.
“I’m a big fan of people that operate in the world of ‘publish and iterate’ versus ‘think, think, think, think, think,'” Plank said. “So there’s a lot that I respect there.”
As Mashable highlights, Plank’s pro-Trump comments may come under fire, as liberals have gone after public figures for daring to support our president:
New Balance, one of Under Armour’s rivals, faced a similar backlash last November when a company spokesperson praised Trump’s trade policy proposals. Social media users made a show of burning or trashing the brand’s sneakers in response.
Such fierce consumer reactions have likely pressured many Trump-supporting business leaders to keep their political allegiances to themselves.
But the administration’s billionaire-heavy cabinet and plans to dismantle financial regulations have already earned it a reputation with some as a friend to big business. Thus, Trump probably has plenty of quiet fans in corporate America’s C-suites.
Mashable also highlighted some of the backlash Under Armour is experiencing simply because it’s CEO’s announced his support for President Trump’s pro-business attitude:
Hey @UnderArmour: about what percentage of your customer base is women? Asking for a friend. https://t.co/sf582M84Pr
