Before voters went to the polls to vote in the California presidential primary, we were told by the Associated Press that Hillary Clinton has secured the Democratic nomination.

And while conservative businessman and GOP presidential candidate Donald J. Trump has no primary opponents left, he’s still on the ballot too.

But now, it appears the “#NeverTrump” movement is trying to stop Trump again, and at the last minute! A prominent U.S. Senator is suggesting it’s time to challenge Trump at the RNC convention.

This would mean a major changing of the rules by the GOP political establishment, but they don’t care!

Here’s what U.S. Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) just announced:

A Republican senator says Donald Trump’s criticism of a U.S.-born federal judge of Mexican heritage could fuel a convention challenge of the presumptive GOP nominee.

Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake said the Republicans cannot win in November with Trump as the party’s standard-bearer.

“Let’s face it: meet the old Trump, just like the new Trump,” Flake, who has long opposed the billionaire’s candidacy, told reporters. “We’ve got what we’ve got. That’s not somebody who can win the White House.”

“Where there’s no talk of a convention challenge or anything else, this might spur it,” Flake said of Trump’s comments on Judge Gonzalo Curiel.

Flake, a smart politician, knows that by making this announcement, he’s signaling to the RNC rules committee that a challenge at the convention in Cleveland, Ohio must happen!
