Tulsi Gabbard blasted her own party during MSNBC’s Democratic presidential debate Wednesday night, and her comments were promoted immediately by the Trump campaign.
‘Our Democratic Party is unfortunately not the party that is of, by, and for the people’
Gabbard said recently that former First Lady, Secretary of State and presidential nominee Hillary Clinton symbolized the “rot” within the Democratic Party. When the moderators asked Gabbard to answer for her anti-Hillary comments, Tulsi said, “Our Democratic Party is unfortunately not the party that is of, by, and for the people.”

It is a party that has been and continues to be influenced by the foreign policy establishment in Washington represented by Hillary Clinton…"@TulsiGabbard goes scorched earth on Dems: pic.twitter.com/JAK5Bmizxg

“It is a party that has been and continues to be influenced by the foreign policy establishment in Washington represented by Hillary Clinton and others’ foreign policy, by the military industrial complex, and other greedy corporate interests,” Gabbard said.
Team Trump Promotes
The Trump campaign almost immediately tweeted out a clip of Gabbard’s comments.

“I’m running for president to be the democratic nominee that rebuilds our Democratic Party, takes it out of their hands, and truly puts it in the hands of the people of this country,” Gabbard continued.
Gabbard said that she wanted to turn her party into one that “actually hears the voices who are struggling all across this country and puts it in the hands of veterans and fellow Americans who are calling for an end to this ongoing Bush, Clinton, Trump foreign policy doctrine.”
Gabbard is Right About the Bipartisan Foreign Policy Establishment
Gabbard has long said that the Washington foreign policy establishment includes both parties. President George W. Bush made a colossal mistake with his regime change war in Iraq in 2003, destabilizing that region for a decades to come. While President Barack Obama campaigned as an antiwar candidate, the U.S. participated in another regime change war in Libya in 2011, which created a vacuum for terrorists, including ISIS.
Who else supported both regime change wars under presidents of different parties? Hillary Clinton. Joe Biden. Also, former Republican presidential nominees Mitt Romney and John McCain.

Despite her one obligatory dig at the President, military veteran Gabbard has said she wants to end America’s regime change wars–and that message sounds pretty close to what Donald Trump has always said about putting “America First” when it comes to foreign policy.
When you connect the right dots, it makes sense that Team Trump would give Tulsi Gabbard the thumbs up when it comes to the truth about her own party.
