Watch: Tucker Carlson Hammers Dem Rep For Calling on Sessions Resignation, But Not Eric Holder’s

Tucker Carlson’s ratings have been so good, the Fox News network has increased ad rates by nearly 27%. His ratings have laid waste to those of the preceding show in that slot, the Kelly File.

His interview with Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) is an example of why he is so well-received by fans of the network. Carlson had a combative exchange with Cicilline, in which the congressman claimed Attorney General Jeff Sessions should step down for what he feels is perjury. (Hint: It’s not.)

The host challenged Cicilline by pointing out that he had once walked out of a censure vote for Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder. Holder was held in contempt of Congress for failing to turn over documents related to the “Fast and Furious” gun-tracking operation.

Carlson also mentioned Holder’s lies under oath to Congress in which he claimed he’d never been involved in trying to prosecute reporters, even though he had personally approved an application for a warrant on Fox News’ James Rosen as a potential co-conspirator in espionage.

Via Fox News Insider:

Tucker Carlson debated a Democratic Congressman who tweeted that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should resign and face possible perjury charges for what he called “false testimony” about meetings held with a Russian envoy.

However, Carlson later asked Rep. David Cicilline (D-Rhode Island) why he didn’t make a similar demand of former Attorney General Eric Holder when he found himself in a similar situation.

Carlson said Cicilline was “getting a little ahead of the story” by floating perjury charges against Sessions, after he was found to have had two meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at the same time he was a surrogate for the Donald Trump campaign.

It was then that the pace of the interview began picking up as the Rhode Island lawmaker harnessed his best Democrat talking points and railed against the Russians for supposedly interfering in the election.

When Carlson asked for proof that the Russians had effected the outcome of the election, Cicilline mentioned hacked e-mails and ‘online blogging.’

Carlson could hardly contain himself, mocking the Democrat.

“Oh, they did online blogging,” he said. “Should that be illegal? What are you talking about?”

Watch the intense interview below …

You know they’ve sunk to a new low when the Democrats have to allege that “online blogging” caused Hillary Clinton to lose the election. Will the left ever get tired of beclowning itself?
