DREAMer Claims ‘It’s My Country Too’ But Tucker Carlson Reminds Him It’s Not

Jose Magana, an immigration attorney who is also a DACA recipient, appeared with Fox News host Tucker Carlson to voice his thoughts on an immigration plan proposed and supported by several Republicans.

Carlson slyly asked Magana for his opinion on varying topics – would he vote for Donald Trump if he’s granted a path to citizenship under this plan, whether the new plan would cut legal immigration numbers, deportation policies, etc.

Then, when all was said and done, much like the WWE’s the Rock back in his heyday, Carlson essentially told the DREAMer ‘it doesn’t matter what you think!’

On following immigration laws or proposed immigration laws, Carlson said: “It’s our country, you don’t have to come if you don’t want.”

“It’s my country too, Tucker,” Magana responded.

“I don’t think it is because I don’t think you are a citizen,” Carlson pointed out.

A little reminder that those here illegally do not dictate what our country does or what our immigration policy should be.

Carlson then went on to remind Magana that he and his fellow DREAMers could be deported at any time.

“These are people who came here illegally, we have no duty to keep them,” he explained. “We could deport them, including you. No offense, I’m just saying, like, it’s a country.”

Magana responded by saying he’d hope Tucker wouldn’t deport him.

“Lots of countries deport people, lots of them. Dominican Republic, Japan, Israel, a lot of countries do,” Carlson explained.

“Well, we don’t set our immigration policy based on other countries,” Magana responded.

“We don’t,” Carlson shot back. “I’m just saying we have no moral responsibility to deal with people who aren’t citizens, because our responsibility is to citizens.”

Magana got owned. And he may want to quit his day job too. How can an immigration lawyer who has been in the country for 30 years but can’t figure out how to apply for legal citizenship be any good at what he does?

Not to mention he doesn’t understand this one simple fact – It’s not his country.

Thank you for reminding him, Tucker.

Do you think illegals and DREAMers should be telling our country how to solve immigration problems? Tell us why or why not in the comments section below!
