Tucker Carlson Calls For Criminal Investigation Of Fauci – Asserts Newly Released Emails Show He Lied To Congress

Tucker Carlson called on a criminal investigation of Doctor Anthony Fauci following a release of emails he believes show the top expert on infectious disease lied to Congress about the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson called for a criminal investigation of Doctor Anthony Fauci following a release of emails he believes show the top expert on infectious disease lied to Congress about the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Carlson countered mainstream media coverage fawning over Fauci’s reaction to the pandemic, pointing out that several of the emails obtained and published by Buzzfeed seem to indicate he had knowledge of research into coronavirus transmission through a government-funded collaboration with a Chinese lab in Wuhan.

Of particular interest to Carlson were emails showing leading virus experts warning Fauci that the virus may have been created in a lab even as he publicly dismissed such claims.

Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases under the NIH, had definitively stated that the coronavirus could not have been manmade, something under serious contention of late.

The doctor’s declaration led social media platforms to block and remove various right-leaning news sources for daring to suggest otherwise.

“Fauci lied,” Carlson declares.

An email from January 31st, 2020, from an immunologist called Christian Andersen shows a discussion of the possibility.

“The unusual features of the virus make up a really small part of the genome (less than point one percent), so one has to look really closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (potentially) look engineered,” Anderson wrote.

The next day Fauci replied, “Thanks, Christian. Talk soon on the call.”

Tucker Carlson Wants Fauci Under Criminal Investigation

Tucker Carlson even went so far as to point out that Fauci’s emails show him lying to Congress, and as such, he calls for a criminal investigation.

Just two days after declaring the virus to be manmade, Fauci receives an email from Peter Daszak, a virologist who was doing US government-funded coronavirus research in Wuhan, thanking him for his support.

“I just wanted to say a personal thank you on behalf of our staff and collaborators,” he wrote.

Daszak also thanks the doctor for “publicly standing up and stating that the scientific evidence supports a natural origin for Covid 19 from a bat-to-human spillover.”

“Are Peter Dazak and Tony Fauci under criminal investigation?” Carlson asks. “We can only hope they are. They certainly deserve it.”

Another email shows Dr. Fauci emailing a deputy and requesting him to review a document he was attaching, which was titled “Baric, Shi, et al — Nature Medicine — SARS Gain of Function.pdf.”

Carlson contends that while the contents of that attachment are not available, the ‘Baric’ mentioned is one Ralph Baric, a virologist based in the United States who collaborated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The Fox News host then played a clip of Fauci testifying under oath that Baric is not involved in ‘gain of function’ research.

“Dr. Baric does not do gain function research,” Fauci declares in the clip. “And if it is, it’s according to the guidelines and it is being conducted in North Carolina…And if you look at the grant and you look at the progress reports, it is not gain function despite the fact that people tweet that.”

“Oh, it wasn’t just on Twitter. It was in Fauci’s own emails,” Carlson replied. “In retrospect, that looks a lot like perjury.”

More Revelations from Fauci’s Emails

In addition to these assertions from Tucker Carlson, Fauci’s emails show a certain level of dishonesty not portrayed in the media that could cost him professionally.

In one email, Fauci discusses surgical masks – the kind many Americans were wearing for over a year due to his advice to the public – and the idea that they don’t really work.

From an email dated February 5th, 2020, Fauci says:

“Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection.”

“The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you.”

Fact-checkers and the media are already running cover for Fauci, saying this email is from early on in the pandemic when masks weren’t being recommended.

But the fact remains, Fauci’s premise that masks won’t keep out the virus and are ineffective at halting the spread wouldn’t change. Those were facts when he stated them originally.

Did the science evolve? Or did Fauci lie? Tucker Carlson believes the latter.

“They offer very little protection from COVID,” the anchor said regarding masks. “In fact, at least one study shows they may accelerate the transmission of viruses. They’re a form of make-believe. Yet, once again, while under oath in public, Fauci claimed precisely the opposite.”

Other emails show Fauci misled the public on the efficacy of coronavirus immunity after one has recovered from the coronavirus.

In a March 4, 2020 email responding to an inquiry on the matter, Fauci wrote that there’s, “No evidence in this regard but you would assume that there would be substantial immunity post-infection.”

“Studies now show that it’s true,” Carlson replied. “In fact, studies now show it is true. People who have had Covid and recovered almost never get sick again from Covid. So they don’t need to be vaccinated.”

In a very famous exchange with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), Fauci denied that mask-wearing following infection or vaccination was ‘political theater.’

While Carlson is asking questions and trying to get to the truth of the debacle that Fauci has been responsible for in America this past year-and-a-half, the mainstream media have rushed to defend him.

They ignore the email evidence suggesting the doctor is either incompetent, negligent, or suffering from some sort of split personality that drives him to make public comments which directly contradict his private thoughts on email.

The Daily Caller reported Wednesday that the White House press corps “had zero questions for press secretary Jen Psaki” regarding Fauci’s controversial emails.

Instead, the American public was treated to MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace interviewing Fauci and having difficulty keeping the drool in her mouth as she teed up softball questions and fawned over the good doctor.

“Well, the true mark of someone is if they look good even when their personal emails come out, so you pass the test very few of us would pass,” Wallace gushed in conclusion to the interview.

In an interview with NewsNation Now anchor Leland Vittert on The Donlon Report, Fauci defended the emails, saying they were simply taken out of context.

“The only trouble is they are really ripe to be taken out of context where someone can snip out a sentence in an email without showing the other emails, and say ‘based on an email from Dr. Fauci, he said such and such’ where you don’t really have the full context,” he claimed.

Tucker Carlson, meanwhile, blasted the left for holding Fauci up as some sort of hero when it was obvious he never deserved being elevated as such.

“Tony Fauci is no longer a scientist, assuming he ever was,” he said. “He’s a figure of religious veneration — Jesus for people who don’t believe in God.”
