Trump Torches Obama During Convention Speech: ‘HE SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN’

During former President Barack Obama’s address at the 2020 Democratic national convention on Wednesday night, President Donald Trump fired off a direct message at his predecessor.

“HE SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN, AND GOT CAUGHT!” Trump tweeted as Obama spoke.

Trump ‘welcomed’ ‘Barack and Crooked Hillary’ before their Wednesday night speeches

Obama spoke live in Philadelphia with the Museum of the Revolution as his backdrop, which includes how the Constitution came into being emblazoned on the wall behind him.

Obama predictably said the current White House occupant undermined American democracy.

Also predictably, Obama didn’t mention that Democrats allegedly spied on Trump’s 2016 campaign, which non-partisan observers might also consider a threat to our democracy.

Trump also took a shot on Twitter at “Barack and Crooked Hillary” hours before Wednesday night’s convention began, in which Hillary Clinton also spoke.

Obama goes after Trump hard: ‘One more reality show that he can use to get the attention that he craves’

“I have sat in the Oval Office with both of the men running for president,” Obama said, referring to Trump and Vice President Joe Biden. “I never expected that my successor would embrace my vision or continue my policies.”

“I did hope for the sake of our country that Donald Trump might show some interest in taking the job seriously,” Obama dug in.

Obama then said that Trump uses his office as “one more reality show that he can use to get the attention that he craves.”

Obama: ‘Donald Trump has not grown into the job because he can’t’

“For close to four years now, he has shown no interest in putting in the work,” Obama added. “Donald Trump has not grown into the job because he can’t.”

Trump also targeted Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris during her acceptance speech, citing her past views on Biden.
