MSNBC reporter Jose Diaz-Balart confronted Donald Trump during his visit to the U.S./Mexican border earlier today, and tried to revive controversy over the presidential candidate’s comments about illegal immigrants.
Balart attempted to take Trump’s comments out of context, implying that he insulted 54 million Hispanics when he claimed that those crossing border were all rapists and murderers.
Trump immediately grew agitated however, claiming what Balart was doing is typical of today’s media. “They take a half a sentence, then they take quarter of a sentence and put it all together,” he said.
Trump, sporting a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat, added that the MSNBC reporter is “with Telemundo, and Telemundo should be ashamed.”
When Balart tried to finish his question, the Donald shouted him down with “No, no. You’re finished.”
Take a look …
Trump’s response drew hearty applause with those in attendance.
It’s no secret that Trump has had little patience for the media games which are typically played against Republican candidates.
Perhaps that’s why he is leading the polls. Americans are seeing a candidate finally stand up against the liberal media machine, and they like it.
What do you think of Trump’s handling of the press so far in his campaign? Admirable, or too much?
