President Donald Trump responded to Nancy Pelosi’s claim that he is “morbidly obese” by telling reporters she has “mental problems.”
When asked about the House Speaker’s comments, made during an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper earlier this week, the President first claimed he had no response because “she’s a waste of time.”
That said, he proceeded to level her when discussing the Democratic Party and the political games they’ve engaged in since he took office.
“These people are sick,” he explained in a possible understatement of the year.
“Pelosi is a sick woman, she’s got a lot of problems, a lot of mental problems,” he added. “We’re dealing with people that have to get their act together for the good of the country.”

RELATED: Nancy Pelosi Says Trump Shouldn’t Take Hydroxychloroquine Because He Is ‘Morbidly Obese’
Mental Problems
Pelosi should definitely continue to engage the President in schoolyard taunts. It will be quite amusing watching her get thoroughly pummeled in that department.
During her CNN interview, the California Democrat responded to news that Trump is taking the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine in an effort to combat possible exposure to the coronavirus.
“As far as the president is concerned, he’s our president and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group – what is it, morbidly obese they say,” she alleged.
Can you even imagine if the President responded by making a comment about Pelosi’s physical appearance on par with this attack?
“I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group, and in his, shall we say, weight group: ‘Morbidly obese,’ they say,” says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Pres. Trump’s revelation he is taking hydroxychloroquine. pic.twitter.com/0ImjpEjg9q

Best Response
While the President’s response to Pelosi is pretty solid, the award for best retort goes to conservative actor James Woods.
Woods, in a very simple two-word tweet, posted a picture of the House Speaker and captioned it: “Morbidly corrupt.”

It would be easy to assume Pelosi’s ‘mental problems’ contribute to that corruption, but she is a cold and calculating individual.
She pretended for two years there was no interest in impeaching President Trump, then set about putting those wheels in motion at the behest of her unhinged party.
She lies on a regular basis as if it’s akin to breathing.
Pelosi is a significant reason why Congress can’t “get their act together for the good of the country” as Trump suggests.
