President Donald Trump spoke out on Thursday to say that he’d “certainly” leave office if he ends up losing the Electoral College. However, he added that there would be “a lot of things happening between now and Jan. 20.”
Trump Says He ‘Certainly Will’ Leave If He Loses Electoral College
During a long teleconference with military troops, Trump was asked if he’d vacate the presidency if he loses the Electoral College.
“Certainly I will, and you know that,” Trump replied.
However, he also admitted that “it’s going to be a very hard thing to concede” because of the “massive fraud” he claims took place in this election.
“As to whether or not we can get this apparatus moving quickly — because time isn’t on our side, everything else is on our side, facts are on our side, this was a massive fraud,” Trump stated. “This was a rigged election…This race is far from over.”
The Electoral College is set to meet on December 14, and states must certify their results beforehand. Any challenges to these results must be concluded by December 8.

Trump Is Still Fighting
This teleconference was the first time Trump has answered questions from reporters since the election, which took place on November 3. Though multiple media outlets have declared that Joe Biden won the election, Trump is still moving forward with legal challenges across the country that he claims will expose massive voter fraud.
Trump’s refusal to concede to Biden has caused Democrats to come completely unhinged, oftentimes threatening to physically remove Trump from the White House if necessary. Earlier this month, Biden campaign spokesperson Andrew Bates threatened, “the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”
Trump has shown from the very beginning of his presidency that he is a fighter who never gives up. We can only hope that he is successful in his legal challenges, because our country will be far better off with him in office for four more years.
