President Trump Claims Russia is Laughing at America

If Donald Trump is in cahoots with the Russians, it certainly isn’t showing politically.

We could hardly expect a puppet of Vladimir Putin to attack the Russian-backed Assad regime, which Trump did first in April in the form of an airstrike on one of their airfields. Of course, that’s not all Trump has done that’s negative towards Russia.

In terms of actual policy, Trump has settled on a much tougher line with Russia than he campaigned on. For example, Trump’s administration rejected a request from Exxon-Mobil for a waiver for energy exploration in the Black Sea (which borders Russia, among other countries), despite the fact that he chose Exxon-Mobil’s then CEO Rex Tillerson as his Secretary of State. Not only that, Tillerson is the man who won the Russian Order of Friendship in 2013.

Meanwhile, as tensions mount, Russian bombers flew into Alaskan airspace numerous times in April, perhaps to test for what the response would be.

And as the Russian conspiracies continue to be promoted by Democrats nonstop despite all this, there is still no evidence uncovered suggesting any kind of connection between Trump and his colleagues and the Russian government at all. And while Democrats continue to push these theories are tensions between the US and Russia grow, Trump believes that Russia must be laughing at us.

After the Washington Post reported Friday that his son-in-law Jared Kushner allegedly attempted to establish a covert channel of communication with Russian officials back in December, the president tweeted this Monday:

It’s not the first time Trump has said the Russians are laughing the U.S. (in fact, he even made such remarks before he was President):

Russia may not be laughing at America as a whole, but they certainly are laughing at the same liberals we are.
