New National Poll Shows Real Impact of FBI’s Hillary Investigation!

On Friday, FBI Director James Comey revealed that his agency was reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails after thousands of emails were discovered on a computer belonging to top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

Well, we are now learning the impact that this investigation is having on the 2016 election, and it is not good for Mrs. Clinton. A new ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll has Donald Trump overtaking Hillary Clinton for the first time since May, 46 percent to 45 percent.

In the poll, 53% of likely voters say they have “strong enthusiasm” for Trump compared to just 45% for Clinton. Clinton led trump by 1 point 46-45% over the weekend and held a 12 point lead one week ago, 50-38%.

In addition, new polling out of the battleground state of North Carolina show Trump gaining ground, where he is now tied with Mrs. Clinton at 44%. In earlier polls, Clinton maintained a slight lead over her Republican opponent. The poll was conducted before the public learned of the new FBI investigation, which suggests Mr. Trump likely now leads in North Carolina, which is a must-win state in his quest for 270 Electoral College votes.

The momentum is clearly on Trump’s side, and the new FBI investigation has thrown Clinton’s campaign into chaos over recent days. As more polls come in, expect to see Clinton’s lead in other states shrink, or evaporate altogether.
