Legendary Athlete: Trump Took Care of My Whole Family When I Was Battling Cancer

Saying that the current President is human and has made some mistakes, a former NFL quarterback is nonetheless pointing out the incredible good and charity of Donald Trump.

The media tries 24/7 to make Trump out to be a vile human being, while stories of his kind acts seem relegated to these pages. And we’re not about to stop bringing those stories to you.

As such …

Former NFL quarterback Jim Kelly, the man who led his Buffalo Bills to four straight Super Bowls, is singing Trump’s praises.

Kelly said that while he was battling cancer Trump personally “took care of my whole family” by providing them apartments to stay when he was being treated.

With the Super Bowl just over a week away, Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly joined “Varney & Co.” Wednesday.

When Stuart Varney asked if he was a Donald Trump supporter, Kelly, who spent 11 seasons with the Buffalo Bills, recalled how Trump helped his family during his battle with cancer.

“When I was going through my cancer fight…he provided my family and friends with a place to stay, his apartments. He took care of my whole family,” Kelly said of Trump.

In a Buffalo News report from 2014, Trump was in awe and inspired by how hard Kelly fought on the field in football, against cancer, and for his son’s own life.

“Jim is a fighter,” Trump said. “He’s really tough. Nobody’s tougher.”

He added, “If he doesn’t beat it, nobody is going to.”

Kelly said that he’s happy to see President Trump ascend to such great heights.

“We all make mistakes and I’m sure he’s made a few, but I’m happy for him,” said Kelly, who survived two bouts of cancer in his lifetime.

Recently we covered another story of Trump’s kindness, when he paid $10,000 to a campaign volunteer to help with his father’s cancer treatment payments.
