Man Arrested After Setting Fires at Trump International in Vegas

Ever since Donald J. Trump was elected president in November, liberals across the country have been protesting outside of his various properties, expressing outrage over his victory.

From New York to Chicago, leftists have taken to the streets, and even invaded the lobby of Trump Tower in New York, to whine that Donald Trump will implement a conservative agenda while in the White House.

But on Wednesday night, someone took it a step further. A man was taken into custody after setting two fires at the Trump International in Las Vegas.

From The Las Vegas Review Journal:

The suspected arsonist is facing charges of first-degree arson and burglary, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Steve Summers said. The fires brought more than 45 Clark County Fire Department personnel, arson investigators and Metro detectives to the hotel bearing the president’s name.

Just after 5 p.m., the Fire Department was dispatched to the hotel at 2000 Fashion Show Drive, for reports of two separate fires at the same time. Arriving firefighters found one small fire in a women’s pool deck restroom and another in the hallway of the 17th floor, the Fire Department said.

The fire on the 17th floor was extinguished by hotel security personnel and was confined to two toasters and some towels. Firefighters extinguished the fire in the restroom. The pool deck fire was also confined to two toasters and “various combustible materials,” the Fire Department said.

A spokesman for the fire department in Vegas said that the fire didn’t appear to be politically motivated but “such motivation isn’t being ruled out.” Given the history of left-wing violence outside of Trump’s properties, it wouldn’t be inconceivable to think this fire was politically motivated as well.

Thankfully no one in the building was harmed and the individual responsible for the damage was arrested quickly. Regardless of whether or not the fires were politically motivated, damaging someone’s private property is unacceptable and should be prosecuted fully.

But if this was political violence, it needs to be stamped out immediately.
