Liberals Trying to Get Trump’s Hollywood Star Removed Aren’t Going to Like This Response

Following an incident in which a crazed anti-Trumper took a pickaxe to the President’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star, the West Hollywood City Council voted unanimously to have it removed.

Mayor John Duran boasted of the council’s vote on social media, hashtagging it with insults for the President including “bellicose,” “belligerent,” and “unAmerican values.”

“Having a ‘star’ on the Walk of Fame is a privilege that is highly sought after by those in the entertainment industry,” the resolution reads. “Allowing Mr. Trump to continue to have a star in light of his behavior toward women, particularly in the #timesup and #metoo movements, should not be acceptable in the Hollywood and entertainment industry communities.”

Meanwhile, stars for Bill Cosby and Kevin Spacey, whose egregious crimes and allegations associated with them are far worse than the President’s locker room talk or alleged extramarital affairs, remain.

Now, a pair of responses to West Hollywood’s largely symbolic vote is putting a damper on the liberal effort to remove Trump’s star. (RELATED: Trump Hollywood Star Vandal Facing 3 Years In Prison).

First, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, a group that has the actual authority to make the decision, issued a statement strongly hinting they had no intention of removing the star.

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark,” said Leron Gubler, the organization’s president, and CEO. “Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”

If that wasn’t enough to get the libs’ britches in a twist, the mayor of Los Angeles has also chimed in on the matter. In short, Mayor Eric Garcetti, while certainly an avid anti-Trumper, advised his fellow liberals to get their priorities straight.

“We should be focused less on sidewalk problems and more on replacing a Congress that enables him (Trump),” he urged.

“You know, every moment we’re out there fighting these fights or just on our Twitter feed, [in these] moments we could be registering votes and actually flipping this Congress.”

It has to hurt when a fellow anti-Trumper lectures his own colleagues on getting their act together instead of focusing on meaningless symbolic gestures.

While liberals are doing everything in their power to have President Trump’s star removed, conservatives across the nation are demanding the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce repair and defend his star, and have started a petition, which can be seen here.

That’s all the left is focused on when they get outraged at something. Just look at their history of removing statues, Confederate flags and other things they are offended by.

Let them have their moral victories, Republicans will keep delivering electoral victories instead.
