Trump Hints He’ll Be In White House In 2024: ‘See You In Four Years’

President Trump gave a glimpse at his plans moving forward, suggesting at a White House Christmas party that he would be back again in 2024.

President Trump gave a glimpse of his plans moving forward, suggesting at a White House Christmas party that he would be back again in 2024.

At the event, Trump looked back fondly at his first term, noted how he is currently battling the 2020 election results, and suggested if things don’t work out he’ll be back again in four years.

“It’s been an amazing four years,” Trump is heard saying in a live stream of the party by former Oklahoma Republican Party Chair Pam Pollard.

“We’re trying to get another four years,” the President continued, “but otherwise I’ll see you in four years.”

The Associated Press reports that the President continued to allege that the 2020 election was “rigged.”

“It’s certainly an unusual year. We won an election. But they don’t like that,” Trump told the group. “I call it a rigged election, and I always will.”

President Trump Running Again in 2024?

Rumors have been swirling for weeks that the President plans to run again in 2024.

Just ten days after the 2020 contest, the New York Times reported that Trump had told his advisers that if Democratic candidate Joe Biden is certified as the winner, he will announce a 2024 campaign shortly afterward.

NBC is now informing that the President may make an official announcement on the day of Biden’s inauguration, skipping the traditional ceremonies.

Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon said long before the election even took place that if Joe Biden wins, President Trump will run for a second term in 2024.

“I’ll make this prediction right now,” said Bannon in mid-October. “If for any reason the election is stolen from, or in some sort of way Joe Biden is declared the winner, Trump will announce he’s going to run for re-election in 2024.”

Trump’s Prospects in Four Years

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) suggested that should the President make another run in 2024, he would be the immediate frontrunner for the nomination.

“If he runs in 2024, he’ll certainly be the front-runner and will probably be the nominee,” Rubio told reporters. “But again I’m still being presumptuous here, we’re not even through with 2020.”

The Political Insider’s Christopher Barron encouraged such a run, saying the President, unlike any other, represents the new, more diverse Republican Party.

“The old Republican coalition – which included neocons, unbridled free traders, open borders advocates and Wall Street-firsters – is dead,” Barron wrote.

“The new Republican coalition, which relies heavily on working class voters, rural voters and increasing numbers of Latinos, blacks, Asian-Americans and LGBT individuals – is the coalition that Trump put together.”

Not everybody is down with a potential Trump campaign in 2024, however.

Whoopi Goldberg, host of ‘The View,’ believes the President won’t be able to run for reelection because of other factors.

“He keeps saying he’s going run in 2024,” Goldberg told viewers. “You are not going to run if you are in jail, my friend. That is something you must also think of. I’m just saying tick tock baby.”

One thing is certain – President Trump is going to continue to dominate headlines and perhaps serve as a shadow president over the next four years.

Biden will be an afterthought until the country can right the ship again.
