The Washington Post reports that President Trump has spent $50,000 of his own money to replace a golf simulator originally installed under Barack Obama.
The previous version was far less sophisticated and aging.
The simulator is room-sized and will allow the President, who is an avid golfer, to play virtually at courses all over the world by hitting a real ball into a video screen.
Three of Trump’s 16 owned golf courses feature their own simulators designed by Trackman, a company that offers “The Complete Solution” series of simulators starting at $49,995.

Media Ignores That Obama Did It First
Perform a simple Google search and you’ll see virtually every major media outlet ignoring the aspect that Trump was simply replacing Obama’s clunker of a simulator.
Honestly, they should be thrilled. According to one company who manufactures the gaming systems, it takes about one hour to complete a full 18-hole round on a golf simulator, far less than the four or five hours it takes to physically hit a course. Then you factor in the security detail, and Trump is saving both time and money.
Since the media likes to hound the President over his golfing habit – something they never did with Obama – this should be a positive news story.
Our Biased Media
We’ll give you two clear-cut examples of bias when it comes to coverage of the two presidents’ golfing activities.
In December of 2017, CNN hid behind bushes in order to obtain an “exclusive” of Trump golfing with Georgia Sen. David Perdue (R), PGA tour player Bryson DeChambeau, and former pro golfer Dana Quigley.
The men running these cameras do they have any pride? They’re running around filming a man on a golf course and hiding. How can a man do that?

Here’s number two – Does anyone even remember CNN stalking Obama on the golf course?
Better yet, does anyone remember the media coverage of Obama installing his golf simulator in the White House?
Of course, some criticisms have been brought on by the President himself.
“Because I’m going to be working for you, I’m not going to have time to go golfing, believe me,” Trump said on the campaign trail in the summer of 2016. “Believe me. Believe me, folks.”
